Lice is a disease that affects people of all ages. It is most common in schools and kindergartens. In the case of lice, Hedrin solution works well. It has a simple composition that eliminates parasites.
Hedrin – lice spray
Hedrin, a solution against lice, is a medical device that is odorless and colorless. It is used to eliminate head lice as well as their eggs. One 50 ml package corresponds to a single treatment for one person (in the case of short hair). Hedrin is up and running in an hour. The preparation is available in several capacities.
Due to its simple composition, the Hedrin lice preparation is gentle on the scalp. It is also a safe solution that is recommended for both adults and children from 6 months of age. The use of Hedrin in younger children should be consulted with a doctor beforehand. The preparation can also be used by pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers without fear.
Hedrin – composition and action
The composition of the preparation is very simple. It includes:
- 4% dimethicone,
- cyclomethicone 5,
- auxiliary substances.
The ingredients in Hedrin act on the lice and their eggs by surrounding them with a tight layer. In this way, they disturb their water and gas balance, and thus lead to the death of parasites. Dimethicone is an ingredient that works in a physical way – it covers and suffocates the lice. In turn, cyclomethicone 5 acts as a carrier. After application, it evaporates and leaves the active substance (dimethicone).
Hedrin – how to use the preparation
Hedrin solution should be used according to the following rules.
- You should evenly distribute the appropriate amount of the preparation on dry hair and make sure that the entire scalp is covered.
- The next step is to apply the preparation with a comb or fingers along the entire length of the hair – from the bulbs to the tips.
- Hedrin solution should be placed on the head for about 1 hour.
- After this time, shampoo should be applied to the hair and massaged in, but without soaking the hair. Then rinse with water. If you need to repeat the procedure, remember to use the shampoo only on dry hair.
- Repeat the treatment after 7 days to provide some protection. Hedrin will then remove any lice that were just hatched at the time of the first wash, and thus avoid the recurrence of head lice.
Hedrin – contraindications and comments
Hedrin must not be used in case of sensitivity to any of its ingredients. It is also not possible to use the preparation on damaged skin. Avoid contact of the solution with the eyes, and if so, rinse immediately with plenty of water. While using Hedrin, you should not smoke or expose your hair to fire, as your hair may be caught in a flame.
The Hedrin medical device should be stored at room temperature, in its original packaging, out of the reach of children.
Hedrin – side effects
The use of Hedrin in some cases may provoke:
- slight scalp irritation,
- itching or irritation around the eyes
- peeling of the skin
- temporary and local hair loss,
- skin rash (stop using, wash your hair with plain soap and consult your doctor).
