Green Green is, of course, primarily cruciferous vegetables, mainly broccoli. Researchers from the University of Illinois, led by Dr. John Juvik, found that broccoli owes its healing properties to glucosinolates. Their constant consumption significantly reduces the risk of particularly dangerous cancers: prostate, colon, breast, skin and lung. Their decomposition leads to the creation of products with an even stronger anti-cancer effect – sulforaphanes (SFN) – and increases the level of substances in the body that facilitate the removal of carcinogens. According to the research of Dr. Joanna Tomczyk and Dr. Anna Olejnik from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, SNF prevents the transformation of carcinogenic compounds, directly blocks their binding sites with DNA molecules, i.e. prevents the formation of cancer-promoting mutations and reduces the likelihood of spreading cancer cells in the body. Dr. Juvik says to get the optimal effect

Violet It’s blueberries, of course. These fruits contain potent polyphenols regulating fat metabolism. In a study by a team of scientists from TWU in Denton, Texas, led by Dr. Shiwani Moghe, it was found that berry-derived polyphenols have a very large influence on the differentiation of adipocytes. Adipocytes are primary fat cells that synthesize and store simple fats (triglycerides). Affecting them reduces the production of white and yellow adipose tissue cells responsible for obesity. Thanks to berry polyphenols, lipolysis is induced, i.e. the process of fat breakdown in which energy is generated. The highest dose of polyphenols, corresponding to about 3 cups of pure blueberries per day per human weighing 70-80 kg, reduced the content of lipids in the tissue by 73%, the lowest doses caused their decrease by 27%. photo: Shutterstock

Brown Wholemeal rye bread, rye grain bread, tea. Rye and wholemeal bread, present in the diet, according to scientists from the Sahlgrenska Academy, reduces by as much as 40 percent. the risk of developing colorectal cancer. It provides the so-called thick fiber, which perfectly cleans the intestines, reducing the possibility of deposits and local inflammation, which are a precursor to neoplastic conditions. In turn, according to scientists from the Duke University School of Medicine, black tea reduces non-alcoholic fatty liver disease – a scourge that affects most people with type 2 diabetes. This is due to the presence of theine and caffeine in it, which facilitate the breakdown of lipid compounds and stimulate the functioning of the liver. Black tea alone, unsweetened, reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. Photo by Shutterstock
