Healing tinctures from walnut and pine nut shells

When peeling walnuts and pine nuts, you should not throw away the shell: it, like the kernels, contains many useful substances. The shell has long been used for the preparation of medicinal and drinking tinctures. We will consider the most successful recipes, as well as the correct use of tinctures for medicinal purposes.

Walnut shell contains:

  • tannins (tannins);
  • iodine;
  • steroids;
  • vitamins A, E, C, P;
  • polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Tannins are an effective antidote. They help detoxify the body in case of food poisoning. Means containing tannins have an antiseptic effect, so it is useful to take them in inflammatory processes. Tannins promote the absorption of vitamin C.

Iodine is necessary for the thyroid gland, it enhances mental activity. Steroids normalize the hormonal background, positively affect the potency in men, improve the absorption of calcium.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. Vitamins C, E and P strengthen the walls of blood vessels, vitamin A stimulates metabolism.

Recipe for medicinal tincture of walnut shells

Technology of preparation:

  1. Crush the nut shell a little with a hammer and pour it into a glass jar together with the membranes.
  2. Fill the shell with vodka, alcohol diluted to 45 degrees or high-quality moonshine of double distillation. The liquid level should be 2-3 cm above the level of solid raw materials.
  3. Put the vessel in a dark place.
  4. The infusion period is 2 months, once a week the jar of tincture is shaken.
  5. Strain the finished tincture through 3-4 layers of gauze.
  6. The drink has a brown color and a pleasant cognac flavor (thanks to tannins), the bitterness of alcohol is smoothed out. To make the taste even softer, sugar or honey can be added to the tincture.

Application of tincture

Healing nut tincture is taken with:

  • excessive nervousness, insomnia, inability to concentrate;
  • night sweats;
  • inflammatory processes, in particular, conjunctivitis;
  • ARI;
  • food poisoning, diarrhea;
  • helminthic diseases;
  • pain in the joints and spine;
  • hypertension;
  • diabetes;
  • pancreatitis;
  • colitis;
  • excess cholesterol;
  • weakened vessels;
  • hormonal disorders;
  • diseases of the genitourinary system in men;
  • uterine myoma, fibroma, ovarian cysts, cervical erosion;
  • weakened immunity.

Nutshell tincture thins the blood, prevents the formation of blood clots, and slows down the growth of tumors.

In case of food poisoning, diarrhea, flatulence, you must immediately drink 30–50 g of tincture, it is allowed to have a snack no earlier than after 30–40 minutes. If necessary, the medication is repeated after 5-6 hours.

To treat insomnia at night, at least 2 hours after eating, drink a glass of warm milk or tea, to which a teaspoon of tincture is added. If the body weight is more than 60 kg, the dose of tincture is increased to 2 teaspoons. The course is 1 month, after which a week break is required. It is allowed to add honey to milk, to tea – raspberry jam, lime blossom or mint. This remedy also helps with neuroses. In case of constant stress, you can additionally take a teaspoon of tincture in the morning, 30-40 minutes before breakfast.

For diabetes, pancreatitis, colitis, hypertension, the tincture is taken 3 times a day, 10 drops half an hour before meals (the medicine is dissolved in a small amount of water). The course is 21 days, the interval between courses is a week. Conduct 3 courses in a row, after which they take a break for 2-3 weeks.

With myoma, fibroma, erosion of the cervix, take 15 drops of tincture 3 times a day half an hour before meals with water. The course is 2 months, the break between courses is a week. Additionally, it is recommended to douche with a decoction of walnut shells: 100 g of the shell is poured into 150 ml of water, brought to a boil and boiled for 5 minutes. For douching, the decoction is diluted with boiled water in a ratio of 1:10.

For other diseases, walnut shell tincture is taken in a teaspoon 3 times a day half an hour before meals. If the joints hurt, the medicine is used internally and externally, rubbing the sore spots and making compresses at night.

With stomatitis and periodontal disease, it is recommended to rinse your mouth with tincture diluted with water in a ratio of 2:1 5 times a day, after brushing your teeth.

Tincture on the shell is contraindicated in children, as well as with:

  • nut allergies;
  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • severe diseases of the liver and kidneys;
  • exacerbations of gastritis and stomach ulcers.

Preparation of drinking tinctures on the shell

Thanks to the cognac flavor, nut tincture will perfectly replace any traditional alcohol on the festive table. For serving, the cognac taste of the drink can be enhanced by adding spices.

For 1 liter of tincture you will need:

  • 1-2 g vanilla sugar;
  • half a cinnamon stick;
  • 2–4 cloves;
  • optionally – a pinch of cumin and on the tip of a knife – citric acid (or an incomplete teaspoon of lemon juice).

The drink is infused for 7 days, then filtered.

To prepare a liquor, 0,5 kg of sugar or honey is dissolved in water, and then mixed with 1 liter of tincture (to which spices have already been added). Before drinking, the liqueur should stand for 1-2 days.

Recipe and application of tincture on cedar shell

In the old days, among Siberians, pine nut shell tincture was one of the main medicines.

Cedar shell contains:

  • tannins;
  • vitamins A, B, D, E, C, P;
  • trace elements: iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc, boron, iodine, silicon, phosphorus, sodium;
  • 16 amino acids, including glutamine. Thanks to it, the endurance of the body increases, the content of nitrogen in the tissues increases, and cell aging slows down.

The tincture has an immunomodulatory effect. It is useful for:

  • colds, body aches;
  • inflammation of the lungs, bronchitis;
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (gastritis, stomach ulcers);
  • arthritis, rheumatism, gout, swelling caused by these diseases;
  • radiculitis;
  • deposition of salts;
  • beriberi;
  • neuroses;
  • eye diseases;
  • uterine myoma;
  • leukemia;
  • bleeding during menopause;
  • wounds, burns, eczema, lichen (externally);
  • skin rashes (externally).

Before preparing the tincture, the nuts are scalded 2-3 times with boiling water to remove the resin. Otherwise, the drink will turn out too dark, with an unpleasant aftertaste.

Recipe for tincture on cedar shell

Technology:

  1. Pour 1,5 cups of scalded and dried cedar shell into a glass container;
  2. pour 0,5 liters of vodka, diluted alcohol or double distillation moonshine;
  3. insist 10 days in a dark warm place, shake every 2-3 days;
  4. strain the tincture and store in a dark place.
  5. The classic tincture has a slightly sharp taste. To soften it, for 0,5 liters of alcohol, when insisting, add:
  6. 1 sheet of black currant;
  7. 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey;
  8. Vanillin – on the tip of the knife;
  9. 0,5 teaspoon dried orange peel or 1 teaspoon black raisins.

For gastritis and stomach ulcers, the tincture is taken 3 times a day, a teaspoon after meals. For other diseases – 3 times a day, a teaspoon half an hour before meals. It is recommended to mix the drink with a small amount of water. The course is 2 months, the break between courses is a month.

With radiculitis and diseases of the joints, the medicine is not only drunk, but also compresses are made from it.

For ulcers and skin diseases, the tincture is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 5 and the damaged areas are wiped.

During treatment with cedar drink, it is recommended to limit the consumption of meat and dairy products, as they impair the absorption of the drug.

Cedar tincture is contraindicated:

  • children;
  • pregnant and lactating;
  • with an allergy to nuts;
  • with varicose veins and thrombophlebitis;
  • with serious diseases of the kidneys and liver.

Nutshell tinctures are not a panacea. Before starting the treatment of oncological diseases, benign tumors, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
