Soak a handkerchief in lavender oil and place it under your pillow and sleep problems won’t bother you again.

The miraculous properties of blue lavender flowers were known even in ancient Rome – it was added to baths during an evening bath.

Healing properties of herbs

The healing properties of ginger were appreciated in ancient India, it is included in most of the medicines of ancient Chinese medicine.

The name of the plant is translated from Sanskrit as “in the form of a horn”. The fact is that in ginger, flower buds have a specific curved shape.

Ginger Tea Solves Many Problems: improves digestion, relieves abdominal pain, cramps, improves metabolism. It has an expectorant, tonic, warming, antiemetic effect. Strengthens the immune system and helps with colds.

The classic recipe for ginger tea looks like this: cut a piece of ginger 4 to 5 cm long (per liter of water), peel and slice. Boil water, put ginger in it and cook for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and strain. To enhance the health benefits of ginger, add some black pepper, cinnamon, a few tablespoons of rosehip syrup, and lemon.

3. Aloe

Aloe owes its miraculous healing properties to a substance called allantoin, which is contained in its leaves. Also, the juice of this plant contains natural antioxidants and beta-carotene, which in the body turns into vitamin A.

Aloe juice can be rubbed into the skin for burns, cuts, scrapes, insect bites – it has a soothing effect and, in addition, moisturizes the skin and slows down the aging process.

To get juice, cut off the lower leaves, scald them with boiling water and keep in a closed vessel in a dark place at a temperature of 4-8 degrees Celsius (for example, on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator) for XNUMX hours.

Then the leaves need to be crushed and squeezed out the juice through cheesecloth. For long-term storage, add 2 parts of alcohol or 6 parts of vodka to eight parts of juice.

During the Roman Empire, poor people, preparing their modest meals, replaced expensive saffron with calendula petals.

4. Calendula

Its petals contain carotenoids (they color the flower orange), which act as antioxidants. Infusion of calendula is useful for gastritis, colitis, eczema, diathesis, as well as for dizziness, coughs, colds.

To prepare it, pour 2 tablespoons of calendula with a glass of boiling water, leave in a warm place for an hour, strain, take 1 tablespoon 6 times a day. With the same composition, it is useful to gargle with a sore throat.

At calluses apply fresh chopped flowers to the rubbed place. By the way, warts are also removed.

Alcohol infusion of calendula is used to wipe burns, bruises, frostbite, boils (10 ml of tincture is diluted with 90 ml of water). To prepare an alcoholic infusion, pour 250 grams of calendula flowers with 100 ml of vodka, leave for 14 days. Then strain.

It is useful to rinse your hair with a decoction of chamomile – it will give light a golden color, and dark ones – it will lighten a little.

This modest-looking flower has so many beneficial properties that it seems that chamomile can cure anything.

Chamomile essential oil contains a substance called chamazulene, which improves metabolism and acts as a pain reliever.

For colds and indigestion, this recipe will help: pour 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers with a glass of boiling water, leave for 20 minutes, then strain. Drink the resulting infusion hot.

If you have a runny nose, pour a glass of boiling water over 20 grams of pharmacy chamomile, cover and leave in the heat for 4-6 hours. Stir the resulting infusion well and strain, heat and pour into a wide bowl. Throw a large towel over your head, bend over the infusion and breathe in the healing vapors of chamomile.
