It started with a red spot on her nose, but in the following days the lesion in the 40-year-old turned black. Additionally, pus-filled ulcers appeared on his body. Only then was the patient tested for monkey pox and the diagnosis was confirmed. He was given antiviral drugs, and while in the hospital, doctors ordered him to do a number of other tests and discovered something else.

The patient said he had no idea because he had never been tested for sexually transmitted diseases before. Since syphilis has not been detected before, it has spread to many organs. The antiviral medications dried the wounds, but that was a slight improvement. The swelling on the nose has decreased but has not completely disappeared. According to the doctors, the man’s case is so serious because his immunity was lowered, which, in combination with monkey pox, caused necrosis.
