The first signs of the tendency to maneuverability appear already in infancy, and the feature becomes established around the age of 2.
According to research, left-handedness is not an anomaly. The results of the analysis of the influence of the PCSK6 gene indicate that its damage or the appearance of its other variants (mutations) influenced the shaping of the preferences of the right side of the body. In addition, in the case of left-handed people, the brain turns out to be more symmetrical, which makes its two hemispheres almost equal – communication between them is also better. As mentioned earlier, the greatest advantages of this feature include the increased efficiency of the brain caused by the even work of both hemispheres and a statistically greater percentage of people with a very high intelligence coefficient. By stimulating the right hemisphere of the brain, left-handed people are often more creative than their right-handed friends, they may also be characterized by a tendency to think outside the box.
