Have a coffee and take a nap in a hotel business
Who has not wanted to take a nap, but has not had where to do it?
At work, at university … you have a free time and the only thing you want is to sleep, but you never had a place to practice our much loved habit “Made in Spain”. Well that’s over. Or, at least, in the center of Barcelona.
Napuccino, a combination of ‘nap’, which means nap in English; and the famous Italian cafe. It is the new cafeteria, located on Calle Muntaner 22, in the city of Barcelona, which combines our wonderful siesta with the taste of coffee.
The area is not chosen at random, since it is only 5 minutes from the University of Barcelona and multiple offices full of tired workers and addicted to caffeine.
Sleep and coffee?
Many of you may be wondering how you can combine a stimulating drink, such as coffee, and a nap. They seem like antonyms, right?
According to Sara Mednick, from the University of California (San Diego), a nap is the best way to regain sleep and the ideal time is between 20 or 30 minutes, just the minutes it takes the body to absorb caffeine.
Coincidence or not, Celina and Sylvan, a young couple from Poland and France, have been the pioneers in taking advantage of this new concept and bringing it to Spain, where they say, time and again, that it is not a hotel, but a “ rest corner ”.
Last year, Siesta & Go arrived in Madrid, a place dedicated to rest exclusively, where you can rent sofas, bunk beds or rooms, and take a nap or sleep 3 hours peacefully, but the concept is different.
‘Nappucino’: innovation and simplicity
From just five euros an hour, you can take a nap in one of the six cubicles they have and with an unlimited open bar. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, on the one hand; and waffles, muffins, hummus, croissants, among other appetizers, on the other. All this for five euros and a nap included.
A haven of peace if we compare it with the rest of the cafes around, where noise and high prices make the difference with this place.
The cabins are equipped with plugs, in case you prefer to work in a relaxed place. In addition, the entire place has free Wi-Fi and they offer you the option of charging your mobile because, as mentioned on their website, they are contrary to the famous “there is no Wi-Fi, talk to each other”.
The owners of the premises point out that it is an ideal place for tourists, who often have to spend hours between leaving a hotel and having to catch a flight, wandering around Barcelona without having a place to recharge energy and battery.
