Now they are working in the beds with strawberries, then the season of raspberries, cherry plums, apples will begin. Volunteers from 18 years old are invited to the field. Children should not be taken, as work requires patience. It is imperative to take with you a supply of drinking water and food, a hat, containers for berries or fruits that you will take with you (up to 10% of the harvested crop). Do not forget your passport, choose comfortable clothes and shoes.
The works are carried out at two addresses – the village of Mikhnevo (Stupinsky district) and the village of Izmailovo (Leninsky district). You need to get to the villages on your own. You can get to Mikhnevo by train from the Paveletsky railway station. The state farm bus runs from the station from 06:00 to 17:00. The employees are also provided with a return transfer. If you are traveling by private car, look for a collection point at the address: Mikhnevo village, st. Timiryazeva, 1, near the “Saplings” store.
An electric train goes to the village of Izmailovo from the Paveletsky railway station, then bus. No. 297. Take it to the bus stop “Institute of Gardening”. There is also a direct connection from Moscow, from st. m. “Annino” bus runs. No. 828. A free minibus picks up those wishing to work in the fields from 06:00 to 08:00 from the stop “Institute of Horticulture”.
State farm named after Lenin
The berries are harvested until mid-August. You can go any day if there is no information on the cancellation of work on the organization’s website. You cannot get there by private car, only those who arrived on the bus of the state farm are allowed to go to the field. It departs at 06:00 and at 07:00 from the station. m. “Domodedovskaya” (exits: 8, 9, 10). There are no flights after 7:00. No prior registration is required.
Please note the age restrictions: participants from 14 years old are allowed to work (children from 14 years old only with adults). Do not forget to choose comfortable clothes and shoes, take a supply of drinking water and food, containers for berries, which will be allowed to take home (up to 10% of what you can collect). A state farm bus will take you back to the metro. Only red berries are allowed to be picked; the stalk must not be damaged. Strawberries must be sorted by placing the crumpled berries in a separate container.
