Happy Hours (Happy Auers or Happy Hours)

Carbonated wine drink Happy Hours (Happy Auers) – products of the Chelyabinsk CPI “Ariant”. The plant produces sparkling wines based on raw materials supplied by the Kuban branch of the agricultural holding of the same name. Light champagne with fruity flavors occupies a large part of the company’s assortment. Inexpensive drinks are gradually replacing classic higher-strength sparkling wines due to growing popularity among consumers.

Historical information

The history of champagne production in Chelyabinsk goes back to 1995. It was then that entrepreneur Alexander Aristov had the idea to produce sparkling wines in a large city in the Urals. The construction of the new plant was not without difficulties – when it came to the supply of equipment, partners from Poland violated the agreements, and the businessmen had to purchase all the lines on their own. Difficulties in finding sellers helped novice winemakers really understand the process and learn all the intricacies of making champagne.

The plant became the first major enterprise of the future agricultural holding. At first, production was carried out on imported raw materials, which were bought from leading suppliers of wine materials. But Aristov understood that great success in winemaking cannot be achieved without its own raw material base.

The first vineyards acquired by the company in the Krasnodar Territory were in an abandoned state. During the anti-alcohol campaign, most of the vines were cut down, and collection points were mothballed. Large sums had to be invested in the purchase of seedlings, agricultural work and the construction of new crop processing plants.

At present, Ariant is the only major Russian manufacturer that is fully self-sufficient in raw materials. The company owns the largest vineyard in Europe. In the Krasnodar Territory there is an enterprise for the production of champagne, which is highly valued in the Russian and foreign markets. The company supplies wine materials to many enterprises in the country, including its own plant in Chelyabinsk.
