The Hansa microwave oven is the epitome of German quality. Models of the well-known concern stand out among analogues with their exquisite design, combining style and simplicity, have enviable functionality, and are distinguished by an affordable price. They are suitable for people who value real quality and their time: with reliable and smart German microwave ovens, cooking is accelerated, simplified and filled with new opportunities.

About Us

The German brand Hansa was founded in 1997. The company quickly conquered the Russian and CIS markets: for the first time on the domestic market, Hansa was introduced in 2000. The manufacturer, having collected and systematized information about the specifics of Russian requirements, about the tastes and capabilities of customers, produces equipment of the highest quality for all requirements.

What’s new at Hansa

The new line of Hansa microwaves boasts an abundance of automatic modes that allow you to quickly cook your favorite dishes. There are models of different prices to choose from: options with digital and mechanical control, compact – 20 liters and roomy – 45 liters. The set of functions and options varies.

New features:

  • Stainless steel internal chambers for easy cleaning of splashes of grease and other food.
  • Thanks to the electronic type of control, you can fine-tune the operating parameters.

It is easy to manage such ovens: the user selects one autoprogram, and the equipment selects the optimal power and cooking time. Process information is indicated on the display. There are also modifications with a mechanical type – they are chosen by fans of simplicity and manufacturability.

The new models are minimalistic and are presented in two colors:

  • steel;
  • the black.

Some novelties are equipped with combi-grill: alternate switching on of microwaves and grill.

Functionality of Hansa built-in stoves

While the user is resting or doing his own business, smart technology can:

  • quickly defrost products;
  • warm up cooked food
  • prepare a new dish.

Why Hansa microwave ovens are valued

These are really good and reliable microwaves. All the signs of a modern high-quality furnace successfully converged in them:

  • reliability;
  • wide functionality;
  • stylish design;
  • moderate cost.

Many microwaves have a minus – uneven heating. This is especially true if the product fills almost the entire chamber. In Hansa, this minus is absent: a special Multi Waves System is used, which minimizes the negative effect due to the uniform distribution of radiant energy.

All models, regardless of the type of control, offer a wide range of modes that solve different tasks: heating, defrosting, cooking.

How to choose a built-in microwave oven

Built-in microwaves save kitchen space. Not much different from free-standing ones, they successfully fit into the interior without occupying the work surface. They are similar to solo models, so they are chosen, with the exception of a couple of nuances, according to the same criteria:

  • Size. Embedded appliances take up less space than conventional ones, but you need to prepare a special compartment for it. The recommended height is waist level. The average width is 50-60 cm, there are also narrow modifications.
  • Spaciousness. For a small family, a volume of 17-20 liters is suitable, a family of 4-5 people – 25 liters. Taking a larger model, it will be possible to bake a whole goose.
  • Power. The more powerful the technique, the greater the bill for light. Range: 700-1500W. The heating rate depends on the level.
  • Design. You need to select to the interior of the kitchen, to the facade of the kitchen set.
  • Type of control – electronic or mechanical. The last one is a pair of handles for power control. In ovens with mechanics, there is no display, it is difficult to set the exact time, it is easy to overheat food. The electronic type is more convenient – the time is set to the nearest second.
  • Internal coating. Ordinary enamel is easily cleaned with detergents, practical and durable. If the chamber is covered with bioceramic enamel, it tolerates heat better. Stainless steel is stronger and more durable than enamel, it is not afraid of temperature changes and mechanical influences.
  • Double boiler. An absolute must for food lovers. A steamer here is a small cup with a double bottom, into which water is poured, food is placed on a plate and closed with a lid.
  • Convector. A device for ventilation and heat distribution throughout the chamber is included with the grill. This stove replaces the oven.
  • Grill. Heating element – heating element or quartz. There are 2 heating elements at once: top and bottom / rear.
  • Signal to alert the user. Minus – a loud sound can unnerve, frighten or interfere with a child’s sleep.
  • Spit. This is not a grill at all, as many buyers think. This is a rotating metal pin – meat, vegetables, etc. are strung on it.
  • Opening method: there are hinged and hinged doors.
  • Locking protects against changes to programs.
  • Automatic defrosting and cooking modes.

Major breakdowns

Hansa stoves break down infrequently, but they are not immune from breakdowns either. The most common problems:

  • the equipment does not turn on at all;
  • turns on, but makes a buzzing noise;
  • the plate rotates, but the food does not heat up well;
  • the timer is broken
  • pallet does not rotate;
  • additional functions do not work;
  • buttons do not work
  • when you turn on the microwave, smoke and sparks appear.

What to do in case of breakdowns

  1. If the oven does not heat up, but at the same time: the tray rotates, the backlight is on, the grill is in good condition – the cause of the malfunction may be as follows:
  • the capacitor has broken;
  • you need to replace the high voltage diode;
  • the transformer has broken;
  • necessary change the magnetron.
  1. Poor heating or none at all. Possible reasons:
  • the inverter broke down – only in inverter models;
  • low voltage in the network – less than 220 V, which reduces the power of microwave radiation;
  • faulty control unit or timer;
  • power circuits are faulty: diode, transformer, magnetron or fuse.
  1. No warm-up. The stove makes a hum or buzz. Causes:
  • broken magnetron;
  • the high-voltage diode has deteriorated – if it breaks, the stove does not heat and buzzes;
  • defective capacitor.

It is extremely dangerous to repair Hansa microwave ovens at an amateur level, since they use a voltage of 5 kV. Repairs are carried out by professionals after an accurate determination of the cause of the malfunction.

Reviews

AMM20BIH: Olga, Moscow

We selected a stove specifically for a drawer of a kitchen set, we needed a built-in one. Two things were of interest: warming up and defrosting. During the year of work, no shortcomings were found. I like that the food heats up quickly and evenly. There has never been food that was unevenly heated – parts cold or hot. It takes up to 10 minutes to heat up meat – a piece of half a kilo. In the microwave that I had before, the meat was cooked for half an hour. The advantage is that there are few buttons, it is convenient to operate. Each button turns on something specific – it’s annoying when one button can turn on many functions by changing the number of clicks. The disadvantage is that there are finger stains on the metal coating. But they are easy to clean with a cleaning agent.

AMG20BFH: Marina S., Maikop

Inexpensive model when compared with analogues. Beautiful design. Minus – not roomy enough and does not warm well. Heating is uneven. It takes 2,5 minutes to heat a bowl of soup, while my 10-year-old Samsung heated it in a minute. Outwardly beautiful, reliable, easy to clean. Suitable for those who agree on a small volume of the camera.

Conclusion

Microwaves from a relatively young German-Polish brand are not in the top five. They cannot be compared in popularity with such “sharks” as Samsung or LG, but the famous German quality takes its toll: Hans microwave ovens, reliable and functional, become indispensable helpers in any kitchen.
