Hands and décolleté: how to prevent the first signs of aging
The specialist shared with Wday.ru the main care rules that will help preserve youth for a long time.
No matter how much time you spend on rejuvenating facial treatments, it is worth remembering that other parts of the body – hands and décolleté – can give out your true age. That is why they should also be given due attention in daily care. Maya Zhmareva, a cosmetologist at the Austrian health center Verba Mayr, gave advice on how to overcome the first signs of aging and hide your real age from prying eyes.

The most popular when going to a beautician is a request for facial rejuvenation procedures. However, the modern lifestyle forces girls to pay great attention to the condition of the skin of the neck, décolleté and hands.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the “cosmetological face” includes these areas: face, neck, décolleté and hands. So, in everyday life, we do not often flaunt the neckline area, but we begin to worry about buying a dress with a deep neckline. The skin in this area is thin, delicate and sensitive, so age-related changes may appear here a little earlier than on other parts of the body. Physiologically, this area is practically devoid of sebaceous glands and melanocyte cells, which are responsible for protection from UV rays.
The décolleté skin should, just like the skin of the neck and face, receive daily care: cleansing, exfoliation, toning, nutrition.
Be sure to use sunscreen during periods of high solar activity.
Try to sleep on your back (it is better not to sleep on your side, as well as on high pillows) and wear comfortable underwear so that additional creases do not appear on the skin;
A sharp weight loss affects the décolleté skin extremely negatively: during this period, try to give this area no less attention than your face skin.
Professional cosmetology procedures must necessarily cover the décolleté area: peelings, mesotherapy, biorevitalization, plasma therapy, hardware techniques.
Pamper this area with regular massages (daily self-massage with cream application) and spa treatments.
The décolleté is one of those areas in which surgeons are quite successful in using threading techniques: reinforcement with threads will form a frame that will strengthen the tissues and eliminate vertical wrinkles in this area.
How to take care of your hand skin?
The skin in the dorsum of the hands is thin and mobile, with a large number of large superficial vessels, with a low regenerative potential and high UV load. Household chemicals, temperature changes, and many other factors that we encounter on a daily basis also adversely affect the skin of the hands. Therefore, the following care instructions should be observed.
Always use gloves when handling household chemicals.
Be sure to apply sunscreen to your brushes during periods of intense sun exposure.
Important: every hand wash should be completed with a cream. During the day, these can be light products and emulsions, and in the evening they can be denser (oily) options rich in oils.
Pamper your hands with massage and facial treatments (scrubbing, paraffin therapy, nourishing masks).
Professional cosmetic procedures will keep the skin of the brushes young and healthy for a long time. Among them are chemical peelings, plasma therapy, mesotherapy and biorevitalization, the use of drugs that stimulate the synthesis of new collagen and elastin fibers, lipofilling, laser rejuvenation.
By following these simple tips, you can freeze time and add extra years to your youth!
