Hamburger with beef at home – recipe with photo

Crispy hot buns with fresh vegetables, fragrant beef, lettuce, spicy sauces. Juicy and hearty burgers will be a great snack for a cold glass of beer. Cooking them is quite simple, and little tricks will help make this process exciting and beautiful.

As in most “combined” dishes, the ingredients can be changed and their quantity can be changed. So, just a photo of the result for motivation 😉

For 2 really hearty burgers you need:

  • Round bun – 2 pcs
  • Beef – 400-500 grams
  • Egg – 1 pc
  • Mustard – 1,5 tablespoon
  • Worcester sauce – 2-3 tbsp.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Ketchup -100 ml
  • Cornish – 5 pcs.
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Tomato – 1 pieces
  • Cheese – 4 slices
  • Lettuce (Iceberg or other leaf) – 2 sheets
  • Butter, sunflower oil
  • Salt, black pepper, spices (coriander, cumin, etc.)

Cooking a hamburger at home

We cut the beef into very small cubes (chopped), or we pass it through a meat grinder (but in this case it is necessary to take a fatty piece so that the hamburger cutlets turn out juicy).

Add the minced meat to the egg, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt (about 1 tsp), black pepper (1 tsp). You can add coriander and cumin to taste. Mix everything thoroughly.

Tip: turn the cutlets carefully so that they do not fall apart. Alternatively, add a little flour or another “fastening” ingredient.

Line the board with parchment paper. We form 2 cutlets from minced meat with a thickness of about 1,5-2 cm, with a diameter slightly larger than a bun, in the center we make a small depression. Place on parchment paper in the freezer for 15 minutes.

White sauce: pickled gherkins – 3 small (you can cucumbers) finely chopped, add mayonnaise (3 tbsp) and mustard (1 tbsp), mix thoroughly.

Red sauce: squeeze 2 cloves of garlic into 100 ml of ketchup, mix.

Wash tomatoes, lettuce leaves, peel onions. Cut the onion and tomatoes into thin rings, cut the gherkins into thin slices.

We heat the butter in a frying pan well with the addition of sunflower. We spread the cutlets, fry for 3-4 minutes on one side, turn over and put a sprig of rosemary in the oil, periodically pat the cutlet with rosemary. Periodically also pour it with oil from the pan (a sprig of rosemary gives the oil a special taste and aroma). At the end, put a sheet of cheese on the cutlet so that it melts slightly.

While the patty is cooking, cut the round hamburger bun lengthwise into two equal parts. Warm up / fry from the inside in a pan with a drop of butter. Lubricate the “lower” half with white sauce, put a lettuce leaf, a slice of cheese, a cutlet with melted cheese on top, tomatoes, onions and gherkins on top. The order of the ingredients can be changed at will, that is, you can assemble a burger to your taste.

Spread the red sauce on the top of the toasted bun, cover and lightly press down. Enjoy juicy burgers with beef and vegetables!

You definitely won’t be served this at McDonald’s 🙂

Ingredients

  • 2 round buns
  • 500 г beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1,5 Art. l. mustard
  • 3 Art. l. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 ml ketchup
  • 5 pcs. corners
  • 1 bulb
  • 1 a tomato
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 2 list iceberg salad (or analogues)
  • butter
  • sunflower oil
  • spices, spices

Instructions

  • Chop the meat, add to it the egg, mustard, Worcester sauce, salt (about 1 tsp), black pepper (1 tsp), spices to taste (coriander, cumin, etc.). Form 2 meatballs on parchment paper and freeze for 12 minutes.

  • Prepare white and red sauces. White sauce: finely chop the gherkins and mix them with 3 tbsp. l. mayonnaise and 1 tbsp. l. mustard. Red sauce: mix 100 ml of ketchup with 2 squeezed garlic cloves.

  • Prepare vegetables: cut onions and tomatoes into rings, gherkins into plates. Fry cutlets with a sprig of rosemary in melted sunflower oil. Put the cheese on the hot cutlets immediately.

  • Cut the buns in half and lightly fry in sunflower oil. Assemble the burgers: spread white sauce on the bottom of the bun, put a lettuce leaf, cheese, cutlet, tomatoes, onion, gherkins. Top the burger with the second part of the bun with red sauce.
