Ham is Savored in Cumbres Mayores

This is the fourth edition of the gastronomic contest “Taste Greater Summits”.

The Huelva town celebrates short and serves this event that centers its activity around the most precious asset of the place, the Acorn-fed Ham.

For more than 3 centuries, the production of Acorn-fed Iberian ham, is the source and nucleus of local activity. and during these days of the fair prior to Christmas, he wants to help spread and show the visitor the best of his pastures.

Producers, ranchers, and artisans, dedicated to work related to the field and livestock will meet to complete the fair offer with products that complement the Ham.

During the holidays, they will develop leisure-gastronomic activities through the premises of the municipality, offering the visitor a wide list of traditional delicacies based on the star raw material, the meat of the Iberian pig.

Daily meals will be held for the locals and those attending the town with a minimum contribution of € 1.50 to try delicacies unknown to many palates.

The municipal council will provide the event with the organization of different events, which include popular tastings such as lthe migas o la pringá.

During the days of the exhibition, the  IV Contest for the Best and Most Original Ration of Ham  that will be embraced by the great achievement of “The World’s Largest Ham Ration” that will be cut again to contribute one more year to spread the art of the Fair.

The different festive events are framed in the promotion and dissemination of the region as a production center for Iberian Ham, and for this the contest has been promoted again Savor Greater Summits Around the World to find anywhere in the world a slice of the delicious pork delicacy, which will surely surprise us how far it has come.
