On the eve of All Saints’ Day, an ordinary pumpkin turns into an ominous symbol. Draw it on your nails and head out to Halloween. ORLY masters will help you to create an original manicure.
To create such a manicure, you will need several shades of varnishes. Orly chose pink, yellow and orange, and for the pumpkin, matte black was perfect. In addition, it is important to have a special thin brush for drawing. In the absence of such, you can use a toothpick, the main thing is to preserve the coating.
Long nails are ideal for this manicure. But this is not at all necessary. You can also draw pumpkins on short nails. So let’s start: on disinfected nails, apply a Bonder base coat. The tool will increase the adhesion of the varnish to the nail and prevent the design from chipping and peeling. Thanks to this, the manicure will be long-lasting.
In the second step, we create the background. Take a rich pink varnish as a basis for your future painting. You can of course choose any other color. In this case, it’s Orly’s Teeny Bikini. Cover the nail with it in two layers. Without letting the varnish dry, proceed to the third stage.
Wavyly, without trying to display neat lines and leaving gaps, over the pink background, apply Spark yellow varnish. Then create the effect of a smooth transition of shades, for this, tint the central part of the nail with Orange Punch orange varnish.
Now it is important to draw beautifully the contours of the pumpkin. To get a neat drawing, use a special thin brush, such as the Short Hair brush. Use matte black varnish as paint. In this case, it is Matte Vinyl.
If you don’t have experience in drawing on nails, practice on paper first. You can do it quickly. But even if your pumpkin is not perfect, it will be unique, and this is more important!
After the contours are drawn, with the same thin brush, gently paint over the pumpkin completely, leaving the areas of the “eyes” and “mouth”. Orly masters made a manicure, where the original drawing adorns only one nail, but you can also draw a pumpkin on all nails.
After rinsing the brush thoroughly, dip it in Liquid Vinyl, gloss black lacquer, and draw the outline of the pumpkin. The manicure is ready!
