Thyme. L’ESCOP (European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy) recognizes that thyme may have utility in the treatment of inflammation of the mucous membranes of the mouth and gums (stomatitis) and chronic bad breath (halitosis).
Dosage : Mouthwash or gargle. Infuse 5 g of dried plant in 100 ml of boiling water for 10 minutes. Rinse your mouth or gargle with the filtered and cooled preparation 2 to 3 times a day. You can also dilute a few drops of liquid extract in water.
Parsley. Fresh parsley would decrease the persistence of bad breath by capturing certain sulfur compounds formed in the mouth and in the intestine, particularly following the ingestion of garlic or its derivatives.1. Certain active ingredients in parsley, such as phenolic compounds, could play a role in the reactions observed.
