Halibut: how to bake in the oven? Video
Halibut is an ocean fish that has been used for food since ancient times. Halibut meat is juicy, fatty and tasty, and cooking does not require special culinary skills. Halibut baked in the oven is especially tasty.
You will need:
– 600-800 g halibut fillet with skin; – 2 cloves of garlic; – 1 tbsp. lemon juice; – olive oil; – salt, pepper, basil, parsley – to taste.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Rinse the fish fillets and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut it into portions, salt and pepper, moisten with lemon juice and olive oil. Leave the fish in this marinade for half an hour.
Peel the garlic and crush with the flat side of a knife. Rinse the herbs and dry a little. In the pan in which you will bake the fish, heat the oil, fry the garlic on it a little, turn off the heat and put the herbs in the pan.
For such a light dish, it is better to serve vegetables as a side dish – broccoli, green beans or fresh vegetable salad
Place the fish in a skillet and immediately place it in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes. To check that the fillet is done, pierce the piece with a fork in the thickest part and turn it slightly. If the flesh inside has become dull, then the fish is ready.
Halibut with mushrooms and tomatoes
You will need:
– 1 kg of halibut; – 350-400 g of fresh mushrooms; – 400 g of fresh tomatoes; – 100 g of mayonnaise; – 30 g of vegetable oil; – 1 lemon; – ready-made seasoning for fish; – salt, pepper to taste.
Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Rinse and clean the fish, cut into portions. Put it on a baking sheet, sprinkle with vegetable oil, sprinkle with seasoning for fish, generously sprinkle each piece with lemon juice.
Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and place on top of the fish in an even layer so that the entire surface is covered. Brush the mushrooms with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Cut the tomatoes in half and place on top of the mushrooms. Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
As a side dish, you can bake potatoes with curry – 10 minutes after you start baking the fish, place another baking sheet with chopped potatoes sprinkled with curry in the oven. Get out with the fish
Halibut with sour cream sauce
You will need:
– 1 kg of halibut fillet; – 2 onions; – 4 cups sour cream; – 4 tbsp. flour; – 50 g butter; – 100 g grated cheese; – vegetable oil; – salt and pepper to taste.
Do not cut the fillet into pieces. Dip completely in 2 tablespoons of flour, place on a greased baking sheet. Slice the onion into rings and lay on top.
Prepare sour cream sauce – fry the remaining flour in butter, add sour cream, salt and pepper, wait until the sour cream boils, and remove from heat. Pour this sauce over the fish. Send the baking sheet to the oven preheated to 180 ° C.
After 15 minutes, remove the baking sheet, sprinkle with grated cheese on top and put back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Serve this fish better with mashed potatoes.
