Small four-legged animals were disliked for loud barking and bad manners.
Gee – almost half of Russians admitted that they dislike small dogs! Royal Canin surveyed 1300 people and found that 48 percent of respondents think little good about small pets and their owners.
“Nearly a third, 27 percent, said that the key problem was that the owners of small dogs did not pay enough attention to their education. 21 percent complained about loud and often unreasonable barking of small-breed dogs, and 4 percent noticed a negative reaction from the owners themselves in relation to those who intersect with their pets, ”Royal Canin researchers told the editor of Wday.ru.
One thing is clear: the question of education and a serious attitude towards small dogs among pet owners is acute. So Royal Canin decided to launch the Come To Me! Challenge.
“We are sure that any dog should be trained and educated. A trained dog will respond to the call in time, will not get involved in a fight, will not bite anyone, will not run away and will not fall under the wheels of a car. Small dogs are smart and perfectly trainable, you just need to take into account the size, adjust the training process and do not forget: a small dog is not a toy, and its upbringing is the most important task of the owner, ”said Yaroslav Ryumin, Director of Corporate Relations at Royal Canin.
It is easy to participate: you need to shoot a short video in which the dog performs one of the most important commands – “Come to me!”, Accompany with a story about the importance of training and obedience to the pet, and post a post with hashtags #CommunityChallenge and #Non-toy on social networks.
