Long and well-groomed hair is a natural feminine adornment. There is hardly a girl who does not go with this cascade hairstyle for long hair. Of course, if you choose the right short haircut, it will give your face freshness and style, but only long hair can reveal a woman’s sexuality, tenderness and elegance.

If you are bored with straight long strands and want to change something in your appearance, feel free to experiment with haircuts for long hair. The most relevant this year are “ladder” and “cascade”. Despite the fact that these models are very similar, they have their own differences.
Ladder – a gradient haircut, which has been known for a long time and is constantly in demand. It is based on the principle of a multi-stage haircut, as a result of which the laid strands resemble neat steps. This is where the name comes from. The easiest way is to pull your hair into a ponytail at the crown of your head and shorten it with one stroke of scissors. This option is ideal for a child’s haircut at home. The craftsmen make the ladder more professionally: they divide the hair into strands and cut (mill) the ends of each of them so that the next ones are slightly shorter than the previous ones. The shortest strands can start at both the temples and chin.
“Ladder” does not give volume in the hair roots, but it allows you to play with their ends favorably. For example, you can correct the shape of the face by releasing short strands in front and curling them a little.
Lay the “ladder” with a hair dryer or a round brush-brushing towards the face or, conversely, outward.
Haircut “cascade”, perhaps, will never go out of fashion. Firstly, on its basis, you can make a variety of different hairstyles, and secondly, it is possible even on short hair. But only on long lengths it produces a stunning volume effect.
The secret lies in the cutting technology: unlike the “ladder”, the “cascade” is performed not along the extreme strands, but multilayered along the entire circumference of the head, but also with steps of different heights. Most often, the “cascade” steps on long hair start from the base of the neck, but if you want a more extravagant hairstyle, you can cut it from the top of the head.
“Cascade” is not recommended for long thin hair. Instead of a voluminous hairstyle, you can get liquid strands that will not hold their shape under the weight of long hair.
You can lay the “cascade” in different ways: by adding volume at the roots and straightening the hair along the rest of the length, with twisting only long strands or short ones – to the face, and long ones – outward.
