A bun is an elegant and stylish hairstyle that suits any outfit and any occasion in life. It will only take you a few minutes to create a spectacular beam. It can be made not only from long and medium length hair. With some effort, you can create this hairstyle out of short hair too.
In order to make a beautiful bundle, prepare in advance:
- volumetric foam or cream to smooth curls
- hair mousse
- hair spray
- comb
- thin elastic bands
- hairpin

- hair net
- ribbon or artificial flower
Before making a bun, first wash your hair with shampoo and dry your hair. If your hair is straight, apply a foam to it to add volume, and if your hair is curly, use a special cream to smooth out curls.
How to make an original bun for short hair
Having prepared your hair for styling, collect it in the middle of the back of the head in a loose ponytail and secure it with an elastic band. After that, comb the hair in the ponytail with a comb. Then divide the combed hair into separate strands, about 8-9 pieces. Take one strand in your hand and fold it like an “accordion” from the elastic to the base of the tail.
Then pass a hairpin through the accordion and secure it in your hair. Do the same with the rest of the strands. As a result, you will get an original volumetric beam. Fix the result with varnish. Apply it in large quantities, otherwise the bunch will lose its shape or bloom. Pay special attention to the temples, as most of the time, short hair will fly out of the bun in this area.
How to make a bundle of flagella for short hair
After combing your hair, divide it into two equal parts. Divide each of them, starting from the ear, again in half. Twist the halves together in such a way that the result is a flagellum. After you form one tourniquet, secure the end with an elastic band. Do the same with the halves on the opposite side.
To emphasize the extravagance of the bundle of flagella, additionally sprinkle this hairstyle with glitter varnish.
Take a bundle of hair in each hand, then tie it in a knot at the back of your head, as if you were tying laces. The ends of the hair should be visible on the sides of the knot. Secure the knot with hairpins, and then remove the elastic from the bundles and comb the ends of the hair. Apply hairspray to your finished hairstyle.
How to make a bun with a mesh on short hair
After combing your hair, collect it at the back of your head in a sleek ponytail. Divide it in two. Secure the top of them with a hair clip so that it does not interfere with you while creating your hairstyle. Comb strongly the rest of your hair with a comb. The made bouffant will create the visual effect of long gathered hair.
Hide the net in the central part of the bun with a ribbon tied in a bow or an artificial flower
Slip a hairnet over the fleece. Attach it with hairpins, forming a ball. Choose a mesh to match your hair color, otherwise it will be very noticeable. Having freed the free part of the ponytail from the hairpin, wrap your hair in a net. Use hairpins and varnish to fix the resulting hairstyle.
