Modern Danish women go to a gym rather than a beauty salon. There is an opinion that the women of this country consider the inner beauty to be much more important than the outer one.
In a country where, according to sociologists, the happiest people on the planet live, a woman looks like she woke up 5 minutes ago. Manicure, pedicure, hairstyle, make-up – they rarely use these female tricks and admit that looking smart and wearing makeup is completely atypical for them. Let’s see if this is really so.
The fact is that the inhabitants of the Land of a Thousand Lakes are sure that the true beauty of a woman lies in her happiness. And happiness is being able to love yourself and accept the way you are, without embellishment.
Danish women do styling only 2 times in their lives – at the prom and at the wedding, they cut their hair, of course, more often, and they allow themselves a manicure, but only for the sake of special events.
Perhaps Danes are good without beauty tricks, or maybe they just prefer to save money. After all, a manicure in Denmark costs at least 500 CZK (this is about 1666 rubles), and styling from 750 CZK (2500 rubles). By the way, the cost of the services of the masters in our country is comparable to the Danish ones. In addition, Denmark is considered a high-income country.
Expert Opinion
– Frankly, I am very surprised at such conclusions about the Danes. I lived in Denmark for six months. And the first thing that caught my eye was the abundance of manicure, pedicure and beauty parlors. Even in small provincial towns, they are literally on every corner. The demand for cosmetic services among Danish women is incomparably greater than, for example, among French women.
Yes, the older generation (45+) moderately uses decorative cosmetics, emphasizing their cold beauty. But young girls attach great importance to their appearance. Extended eyelashes, eyebrow tattooing, enlarged lips – Danish women bring themselves to perfection, sparing no expense. Tattoos are also very common. Prices for salon services are high. But this is not surprising.
Denmark is a country of high salaries and high taxes.
When it comes to sports, Denmark is divided into two opposite camps. One half spends all their free time in gyms and sports clubs. The second half is absolutely indifferent to sports. You will meet many overweight people on the streets and in supermarkets. This is also explained by the love of the Danes for feasts with traditionally fatty and high-calorie foods. Yes, Copenhagen has a ton of vegan or “new” restaurants. But traditionally the Danes are faithful to potato and fried pork dishes.
A few words about the manner of dressing. Danish women make me associate with teenagers who want to try everything, but have not yet decided on their individual style. Although most of the country’s inhabitants prefer black even in summer, the wardrobes of desperate fashionistas resemble a rainbow of candy canes: bright, neon colors, intricate combinations of prints, a mixture of styles. This is hard to imagine anywhere in France.
See for yourself, before you Instagram of popular fashionistas in Denmark (by the way, the most well-groomed).
Rђ RІRѕS, in Spainon the contrary, a well-groomed appearance is very much appreciated, therefore hairdressing and beauty salons are popular there. And prices are about the same. So, in Barcelona, a manicure costs from € 20 (1808 rubles), and a pedicure – from € 30 (2712 rubles), only, according to rumors, the quality of the service does not differ. It is difficult to find a qualified manicure and hair professional and in Israel… In Tel Aviv, for example, a men’s haircut with a typewriter costs from $ 15 (1170 rubles), a women’s one is several times more expensive. If you wear highlights, you will have to pay $ 150 (11 rubles), for a manicure – from $ 700, for a pedicure – from $ 24 (35 and 1870 rubles, respectively).
