Preparation begins with washing and the obligatory use of an air conditioner. If you have curls, choose a conditioner with maximum moisturizing properties, as hair with this structure is often drier than straight and smoother. You should carefully approach the choice of the tool, make sure that the ironing plates are made of ceramics and there are no gaps between them when closing: the fit should be as tight as possible.
Do not neglect the use of heat protection products, they will prevent excessive loss of moisture, which can be unsafe for hair health, and will not leave marks on the ironing plates, since they are designed for use with a hot instrument.
Hair straightening with tongs
Only absolutely dry hair can be treated with an iron. Hair straightening should start from the bottom of the head:
1. Divide your hair with a parting into two equal parts
2. Separate with a horizontal parting in the lower occipital zone a section of hair 2-3 centimeters wide. Comb thoroughly along the entire length, squeeze with an iron at the roots so that first the comb moves through the hair, and immediately behind the iron plates. Smoothly guide the straightener towards the ends
The simultaneous use of a comb and an iron will allow you to straighten your hair as efficiently as possible. This advice is especially useful when straightening intensely curly or thick hair. You should not separate the wider strands, in this case they will not be warmed up evenly and the result will not be so effective, in addition, in this case, the styling will hold less.
The movements should not be too fast, the slower you move the tool, the better the strand will be straightened.
3. In the same way, separating strand by strand with a horizontal parting, process the entire mass of hair, moving from top to bottom.
4. Hair in the temporal zones should be processed separately, so hair straightening will be of better quality and it will be much more convenient to highlight strands
In order to prevent creases from the ironing plates on the hair, try to close the ironing plates smoothly, gradually increasing the pressure and not holding it in one area. In this case, the strands will be smooth.

5. Apply the powder to the roots only, use the product sparingly. After application, lightly rub the powder with your fingers into the hair roots
6. To create a fleece, it is necessary to separate a strand about 2 cm wide, pull it perpendicular to the head and comb it at the roots with a fine comb, making “raking” movements from top to bottom, to the roots, slightly directing the comb towards you at the bottom
Each movement should be closer and closer to the roots so that the fleece is concentrated precisely at the roots of the hair. We process all the strands in the same way.

7. To prevent the bouffant from being visible, it is necessary to smooth the top layer of the hair, while avoiding pressure in order to maintain volume at the roots. By pressing down on the comb, you can adjust the volume intensity
