The pace and nature of modern life often leaves little time for proper hair care. Due to a lack of vitamins, excessive use of chemical care products and styling products, due to the influence of an unhealthy urban environment or bad habits, hair can lose its beauty and health. Soreness in the hair roots is one of the symptoms of their ill health. When you let go of a rather tight hairstyle, you may feel a slight pain, but it usually goes away within one to two hours.

To avoid the consequences, try not to do these hairstyles more than one or two times a week.

A more serious cause for concern can only be causeless pain in the hair roots, which can manifest itself when styling, tossing strands or when combing.

  • Inadequate hair care products are a common cause of soreness. Sometimes shampoo or conditioner is not suitable for your hair and skin type. If you notice pain after changing your care products, try reversing your previous products or purchasing other products.
  • Another reason is the wrong comb. Combs made of plastic are known to electrify hair. The consequence of excessively electrified hair can be painful sensations on the scalp. Try replacing your hairbrush with a wooden one
  • Excessive use of styling products (gel, mousse, varnish) weighs down the hair, which can also cause pain. Try cutting back on your styling products or changing brands
  • Make sure that the products you use (shampoos, balms) do not dry out the scalp. It is dry skin that can cause pain in the hair roots. If you notice something like this, change your care product, give preference to moisturizing and nourishing masks.

To eliminate dry scalp, use warm boiled water, you can also use a decoction of horsetail, oak bark or nettle

  • The cause of pain can be a disturbance in the circulatory system of the scalp and vascular disease. This may be a symptom of vascular dystonia. Be sure to wear a hat in frosty weather, low temperature contributes to vasoconstriction, this can cause circulatory disorders in the hair follicles
  • A sudden change in hairstyle can cause root pain. The roots become accustomed to their position and the retention of a certain mass of hair, when you redistribute the mass of hair on the head, pain can occur
  • Pain in the hair roots can be the result of stress or nervous disorders. Take care of yourself, rest, drink decoctions of herbs that have a sedative effect, do not worry about trifles, follow the daily routine

The most proven method is, of course, scalp massage. Head massage is useful in itself, it activates blood circulation in the scalp, which contributes not only to hair growth and elimination of pain, but also to improve health and vitality.

Movements during massage should be gentle and smooth. Start the massage from the back of the head, using circular movements of your fingers, move to the crown, forehead, and then in the opposite direction. Try to do this procedure for at least ten minutes a day, or ask someone close to you.
