Hair restoration masks, reviews, photos

We admit honestly: we level the ends less often than once every 2 months, so it is definitely worth spending more time restoring hair at home. But what to do so that they are not electrified, fluffy and smooth as silk? Woman’s Day has tested popular revitalizing masks to reveal which products will truly help you in your quest for perfect hair.

Cocochoco, Intensive Hair Moisturizing Mask, RUB 1768

– I am madly in love with my hairs, I constantly take care of them and do not regret time for recovery. There is one sin for me – I just can’t refuse to use a styler to straighten my hair, so restoring hair takes more time and requires money.

Expectations: any mask should perform several functions – it is easy to rinse off, have a pleasant aroma, visually make the hair smooth and manageable, not contribute to hair pollution and accumulate a restoration effect. Unfortunately, I have claims to almost every product: either the hair looks dirty in the evening, the volume is “eaten up”, and the unpleasant aroma repels from the product.

Reality: I have been familiar with the Israeli brand CocoChoco for over a year. The first thing that attracts in the product is an unreal aroma. Moderately sweet, leaving a fresh scent on hair throughout the day. I used the mask in a pair with shampoo from the same series and with a product of a different brand.

The Intensive Mask does its job well: just 15 minutes and your hair is as smooth as silk. The only thing is that the mask weighs down the hair, so use an additional volume product or simply blow dry with a hair dryer upside down.

Evaluation: 10 out of 10 points. I think this is a great tool that could even mask dry split ends.

Macadamia hair restoration mask, 1099 rubles

– My hair is thick and dry. I always buy myself shampoos and masks aimed at combating dryness. Reviews of the Macadamia mask are very controversial, but I decided to try this remedy anyway.

Expectations: It is believed that this deep recovery mask is an effective remedy that penetrates deep into the hair and repairs damaged areas, strengthens the structure and gives shine and elasticity. The combination of argan and macadamia oils with tea tree, chamomile, aloe and algae extracts revitalizes and regenerates hair.

Reality: in fact, the tool proved to be excellent. The consistency of the mask is not too thick and completely non-liquid – that’s it! Easy to draw on the right amount and distribute through hair, no dripping. The packaging depends on the volume, everything is thought out: 30 ml in a sachet, 100 in a tube, 250 and 500 in the usual jars with twist-off lids, a liter mask comes with a pump.

Macadamia has a pleasant smell, not heavy, but sweetish, a little apple. After applying the mask, the hair clearly began to look much more alive and felt truly healthy.

Evaluation: 10 out of 10 points. For fulfilling the promises of its manufacturer.

Planeta Organica, regenerating mask, 294 rubles (4fresh.ru)

– Hair masks are one of my must-haves. I have fine, thick hair with no obvious problems if properly cared for. I try to moisturize my hair at least once a week. In addition, in my beauty arsenal you can always find moisturizing shampoo and hair oils. As for the masks, in this regard, I am a conservative. I have a favorite, Khiel’s, which I have been using for over a year. However, I gladly agreed to try a new one, moreover, from a Russian brand.

Expectations: I expect a lot from a regenerating mask. It should nourish and moisturize the hair well, make it strong, shiny and smooth. According to the manufacturer, the mask is designed to restore damaged hair. It is based on 10 Dead Sea minerals and pink damask wax. Natural ingredients are designed to nourish, protect and restore the keratin layer of the hair, as well as give it a shiny and healthy look.

Reality: the consistency of the Planeta Organica mask is similar to thick yogurt. The scent seemed to me not very natural: the product smells like a cosmetic cream. I applied the mask along its entire length from the very roots immediately after washing my hair, left it on for five minutes and rinsed off like a regular conditioner. By the way, I didn’t feel much difference between using this mask and my Natura Siberica conditioner. Hair after washing becomes smooth, friable and easy to comb. A small bonus: after using the product, the hair smells good for several days, even after repeated shampooing. And now the cons: after the mask, the hair looks smooth and voluminous (however, this does not contradict the manufacturer’s description in any way), the hair does not shine and in general looks as usual.

Evaluation: 7 out of 10 points. As a replacement for the conditioner, the mask is excellent, but as an intensive care, unfortunately, it loses a lot not only to my Khiel’s argan mask, but also to hair oils.

L’Occitane, hair shine mask, 2300 rubles

– Although my hair is dry, brittle and always dyed, I do not like using masks. Firstly, I am too lazy to keep them on my hair even for 5 minutes. Not to mention 10 or more. Secondly, I don’t like the feeling that remains on the hair. Always. No matter how much I use masks and no matter how much I wash them off, I always feel it on my hair to the touch. Whether the L’Occitane mask would be the same experience, I had to find out.

Expectations: the French brand promises nourishment, regeneration and strength to dry and brittle hair. The five essential oils in the product are supposed to add shine and protect hair from breakage. Sweet almond oil is responsible for detangling hair, and shea butter is responsible for nutrition. A tempting promise for my very, very dry, thick hair that won’t break out of color.

Reality: I’ll start with the texture – everything is fine here, it is thick, enveloping, no complaints. It is washed off easily, and the effect is not felt on wet hair. But after the hair dryer, I again tactilely remembered what a hair mask is. She did make her hair a little heavier. Well, I’m not that disappointed, I just asserted myself in my attitude to masks. However, something still shook my opinion. After a couple of days I had to straighten my hair before going out. Imagine my surprise when I ran the iron on the strands and felt a pleasant glide through my hair. Usually the iron moves a little slower, but here it is just like clockwork! And it was here that the hair began to shine! At that moment, I even smiled slyly towards the jar on the bathroom shelf. So this is what you are, L’Occitane mask!

Evaluation: Only a mask that I would not feel on my hair could get 10 points. If such a thing exists at all. And so – well-deserved 9 points fly away to the same bathroom shelf!

Planeta Organica, Gold Hair Regenerating Mask, about RUB 300

“Oh, as soon as I didn’t mock my hair…” – this is how I would like to start my review. Indeed, hair is perhaps the best wealth that nature has endowed the beautiful half of humanity with. And to have luxurious shiny hair is the dream of many (if not all) women in the world. I won’t be original if I say that in pursuit of fashion trends, I put my hair to such a test that in the end I just had to cut my curls and start intensive restoration of my hair. Recently, having tried a lot of beauty novelties that are entering the cosmetic market at the speed of light, I, frankly, lost heart. No, there are decent remedies, but, unfortunately, they did not give the effect that I dreamed of. Therefore, having received another jar with a wonderful hair mask of the Russian brand Planeta Organica, I did not indulge myself with the illusion that this time everything will work out.

Expectation: I have been in search of my effective remedy for a long time, so the requirements for a candidate are very high for me. But, perhaps, the most important thing is that the product should really restore the hair, and not completely ruin it.

Reality: the producers of the product promised that organic oils of Moroccan argan and noble verbena, pearl powder and bio-gold are able to give new life to hair. The mask, the formula of which is based on organic argan oil – one of the most expensive and rare oils in the world, restores the structure of dry and brittle hair, moisturizes, makes it denser and more elastic, and makes combing easier. And also this miracle remedy makes curls shiny, and they look healthier.

In fact, almost everything happened. The product has a thick, dense texture, a soft brownish-golden hue and a pleasant scent. The latter is very important to me. After all, this mask must be kept on the hair for about 5-10 minutes, so it is better if the product exudes a delicate aroma, and not something suffocatingly unpleasant.

In general, I liked the mask with “liquid gold of Morocco”, but, alas, not 100% … I will continue to look for my ideal companion.

Evaluation: 9 out of 10 points. Perhaps it’s just that this remedy is not quite suitable for my dry hair and they need something more intense.

Le Petit Marseillais nourishing mask for normal hair “Flax and sweet almond milk”, 330 rubles

– As a child, my mother liked to say: “Your hair is as naughty as your character.” Now I can hardly be called a daredevil, but the problem remains. Hair is thin, dyed. I often curl them, do bouffants or straighten them with an iron, and therefore hair care products are a must for me after every hair wash.

Expectations: the label claims that thanks to the flax and almond extracts included in the composition, the product softens, nourishes the hair and gives it a natural shine.

Reality: I immediately liked very much that the treatment with Le Petit Marseillais does not take a lot of time. Just three minutes and you’re already Aphrodite! And this at an absolutely ridiculous price!

Well, I’m glad to inform you that the manufacturers are not lying at all. Pleasant smell, thick consistency, beautiful jar … I felt the effect of the mask after the first application. Hair has become soft and silky, has acquired a natural shine and has become a little heavier, thanks to which it does not electrify after blow-drying. Needless to say, I was very pleased with the result.

Evaluation: 10 out of 10 points. The perfect combination of price and quality!

Collistar, Supernourishing Restorative Mask, 700 rubles

– I have long dry hair, which I almost always blow dry and sometimes straighten it with an iron. It is not surprising that with such an arrangement, special attention has to be paid to caring for the hair, so at least once a week I try to use oil or a hair mask. And if there are no problems with oil, then I am not so lucky with masks … From one my curls get dirty quickly, from the other they lose their volume … Let’s see how the circumstances develop with the super-nutritious regenerating Collistar mask.

Expectations: On the jar of Supernourishing Restorative Mask it is written that it is suitable for dry and damaged hair, regenerates and replenishes capillary fibers, strengthens them and fills them with energy. The manufacturer also promises that after using the product, the curls become elastic, soft, and easy to comb. Another bonus: you only need to hold the mask for five minutes!

Reality: To be honest, I was rather skeptical about Collistar and was sure that nothing could be better than the natural oil I was already used to. But in fact, the mask turned out to be very good. She has a moderately thick texture, which almost immediately absorbed into the strands, and after rinsing with water made them incredibly pleasant to the touch. And after the hair dried out a little by itself, and then I finished drying it with a hairdryer, it became smooth and very easy to comb. I felt that even the ends began to look much better, as if I had left the salon after a haircut. The next day, the curls still looked fresh and I did not notice any weight after using the product. The only negative is silicones and sulfates in the composition, which I dream of someday giving up forever …

Rating: 9 out of 10. I would put all 10 if the composition was completely natural.
