Moroccanoil Treatment, revitalizing oil, 3450 rubles
Daria Vertinskaya, beauty editor:
– I will say right away that for testing I chose two products from different price segments in order not only to evaluate their effect, but also to compare the result.
Appearance: The first is Moroccanoil Treatment in a stylish 100 ml glass bottle.
Expectations: my curly, dry, colored hair needs intensive care all year round. From the product, I expected at least tangible (externally and to the touch) hydration. The manufacturer also claims that the oil makes hair more manageable and shiny, provides easy combing and prevents hair from becoming “frizzy” (even in wet conditions).
Reality: of the two options for the product – light and regular – I deliberately chose the latter, because my hair really needs maximum moisture. The first thing I noticed was the incredibly pleasant scent that instantly attracted me to Moroccanoil. As for the application, I used oil, as advised on the package, both on wet hair after washing, and on dry hair. As a result, all my expectations were met! Hair became soft, manageable, shiny and as if soaked from the inside. And there was no trace of dry split ends. Verdict – the price is fully justified. Plus one to my beauty favorites.
GARNIER Fructis, oil-elixir for hair, 389 rubles
Appearance: 150 ml transparent bottle with dispenser.
Expectations: all the same. Deep nutrition, recovery and tangible effects. The manufacturer promises no weight gain and fast absorption. Let’s check.
Reality: and again I really liked the smell (pleasant and not harsh). I tried all three of the suggested application methods – as a mask before shampooing, on damp hair before styling, and on dry hair to keep it soft. My favorite part was to apply the product to damp hair, which makes it easy to comb through.
Elixir coped with all the tasks with a bang! The hair has become soft, pleasant to the touch, and shiny. And all this without burdening it. I still find it hard to believe that the product has such a low price, because the effect is comparable to that of luxury oils. I especially recommend it to those who are afraid of quick pollution and greasy “icicles” on the head. This certainly won’t happen with a GARNIER product.
Greymy, Moroccan argan oil, 5000 rubles
Vasilisa Naumenko, columnist:
– Several years ago, I perceived only those oils that needed to be washed off, and about the indelible ones I thought that it was impossible to avoid oily sheen and icicles with them. But it was Greymy who convinced me.
Appearance: a laconic dark bottle with a convenient dispenser. What other oil can there be?
Expectations: to be honest, it was only because of the composition that I forced myself to taste the butter, and it is simply divine: cocoa seed and wheat germ oils, as well as silk proteins and hydrolyzed keratin.
Reality: The oil can be applied in four ways: before washing your hair for deep nourishment, before a mask to enhance the effect, when drying your hair to provide protection, and before styling for extra shine. I chose the option with protection. I took a few drops of oil and spread it on wet hair. What a surprise it was when it turned out that there was no effect of oily hair, and the result was soft and manageable hair with a light aroma of Moroccan oil. And the myth that after using oil the head gets dirty faster, I am also ready to dispel: it means that you picked up the wrong oil or overdid it with the quantity.
One thing now I know for sure: oil should be in the arsenal of any girl who looks after the health of her hair.
Londa Professional, Velvet Oil, 909 rubles
Olga Turbina, columnist:
– Since my ends are very dry from the constant use of a hair dryer and hair straightener, I decided to try the oil to save the situation.
Appearance: the volume of the bottle is large enough, 100 ml. That is, the oil will definitely be enough for me for a year. The smell is quite pleasant. In my opinion, this is caramel with vanilla and maybe a little peach. The consistency is light, oily, transparent, does not make the hair greasy and gives a good shine to the ends.
Judging by the composition of the product, the effect should be very good after use. Contains argan oil (the most valuable hair oil: regenerates, nourishes).
Expectations: the manufacturer claims that the oil does not weigh down the hair at all and instantly restores it. It also smoothes the hair and can be used as a thermal protection.
Reality: in the end, my expectations were met. The ends after the oil are moistened, do not fluff, shine. The oil does not weigh down the hair at all, it is just as light after washing.
I have tried applying the oil in three ways.
1. On damp hair before drying for thermal protection.
2. On dry to smooth unruly ends.
3. At night for intensive nourishment of hair.
The only negative that I can highlight is that my hair started to get dirty faster. If before I washed my hair every other day, now I want to do it more often. Overall, I liked the product. I advise everyone.
Biosilk, Hydrating Therapy Oil, 2154 rubles
Christina Semina, columnist:
– Biosilk is considered an American brand of professional hair care cosmetics. It is not possible to buy funds of this brand everywhere. The hit of sales is the Hydrating Therapy moisturizing oil, which I just took for testing. I have heard many positive reviews about this product before, but I have never used it myself.
Appearance: an ordinary small yellow bottle with a dispenser.
Expectations: the description for Hydrating Therapy says that the product is free of parabens and other chemical components. The product contains only natural products, the main of which is passionfruit oil, rich in vitamins A and C. According to manufacturers, this oil, with regular use, will restore even the most damaged hair and give it shine.
Reality: I really love hair oils. I use them regularly, and I constantly try different brands. In Hydrating Therapy from Biosilk, at first I really liked the pleasant, unobtrusive aroma, and then I appreciated its properties. The texture of the oil is incredibly light, perfectly distributed over the strands, and is absorbed instantly. I have dry hair, but I am sure that it will not leave greasy marks on oily ones. I used the product almost every day, applied to both dry and damp hair before styling. In all cases, the product did not disappoint. After the oil, the curls really got shine, and they also stopped getting very confused, even if the weather was windy. I cannot say about the incredible restorative effect of the product, yet complex care is important here.
Lorvenn, Argan Oil Intensive Care, 367 rubles
Olga Frolova, columnist:
– I really love leave-in hair oils, they have become a habitual part of my care for a long time. This time I tried the oil of a new brand of Greek cosmetics Lorvenn.
Appearance: standard bottle with a dispenser.
Expectations: Intensive Care Oil is enriched with a selection of beneficial oils: Argan, Abyssinian and Coconut. Restores and strengthens, nourishes and moisturizes – in short, it promises to do everything you expect from an oil.
Reality: to begin with, the oil was too heavy for my hair. It is quite dense and thick, literally a third of pressing the dispenser is enough for me to get enough oil. There are lighter oils in the line: daily care and ultra light, perhaps they would suit me better. Secondly, I didn’t like the strong floral scent. No, I love how exotic flowers smell, but most fragrances have nothing to do with this scent. Thirdly, I was not pleased with the silicone composition of the product. Outwardly, the hair looks good, but it gets little useful.
Verdict: I would use Lorvenn oil to give it a visual shine and softness to my hair, not really counting on care, it does it just fine.
Hair oil Weleda Haarol, 993 rubles
Nastya Obukhova, columnist:
– I love the Weleda brand very much. My favorites are body oils and hair products.
Appearance: Weleda’s 50% organic hair oil, unlike the rest of the brand’s oils, comes in a tiny XNUMX ml bottle. True, the tool is very economically spent, and therefore I do not consider a modest volume a disadvantage at all.
Expectations: according to the description, the oil is designed to give hair a healthy shine and nourish dry split ends. My hair is in excellent condition, but in the beginning of spring it started to get a little electrified. Actually, that’s why I expected good hydration and natural radiance from the product.
Reality: I love long lasting and effective hair care rituals. Therefore, when using Weleda oil, I tried to make the most of its rich composition. By the way, in the list of ingredients of the product, I found rosemary, lavender oils, as well as extracts of clover and burdock. So that the oil is well absorbed, I slightly moistened my hair, applied the product and put on a cellophane cap. After that, I warmed up my head with a hairdryer for about five minutes and left the compress for a couple of hours. Then I washed my hair with water without shampoo. Hair has dried naturally. I braided them in a braid and went to bed. Finally, I washed off the oil only in the morning. To do this, I needed three lathers with sulfate-free shampoo. After the manipulations done, the miracle of transformation, of course, did not happen, but I liked the effect. Hair has become softer, softer to the touch and even more shiny. Such gentle natural care is to my liking, and therefore I will continue to use this oil. I think once a week is enough.
Gliss Kur, Caring Oil Elixir for Hair, 375 rubles
Victoria De, columnist:
– Oil-based skin and hair care products have long been used in the countries of the East. In Russia, for a long time, such cosmetic products were not particularly favored (although they regularly used sunflower oil as a cure for burns!). But in recent years, oils have become an eerily fashionable joke. As for me, personally, I did not particularly like them. Such products, in my opinion, provide for some ceremoniality and require a lot of time, but it is simply sorely lacking. But since duty calls, I urge myself to discipline and … I proceed to the tests!
Appearance: stylish tall bottle, shimmering with golden liquid (it is not surprising). There is a convenient dispenser under the cap. One press – and the oily liquid is already spreading in your palm.
Expectations: Gliss Kur Oil Elixir is designed for dry and damaged hair. According to the manufacturers’ assurances, it effectively nourishes the hair, while leaving no residue or weighing it down.
Reality: the procedure for applying the product (both on dry hair and on wet hair) turned out to be, frankly, a brand. Certainly it should not be carried out outside the bathroom. After use, the hair turns into icicles. But … what an effect! Frankly, for two weeks of testing the product, I did not dare to leave it on my hair (15 minutes after application, I washed it off, and then I also washed my hair with shampoo). However, this turned out to be quite enough. Already after the first application, the hair became noticeably softer, and after drying it acquired a natural shine.
My skepticism disappeared more and more after each application. After two weeks of use, I can boast of not only silky hair, but also boldly say: “Are you offered oil? Take it! You will not regret”.
Caudalie Divine Oil for hair, face and body, 2325 rubles
Natalia Zheldak, columnist:
– Naturally, I read the label after I grabbed my favorite brand for testing. And she was very surprised. The oil is intended for triple use at once: for nourishing hair, body and … face! Unusual, unusual, but all the more interesting to experience it.
Appearance: a small bottle with a spray dispenser, which is convenient. Actually, one of the few oils that has it.
Expectations: I really wanted to “cheer up” my hair, which by the beginning of spring suddenly began to look dry. The balm could no longer cope; additional recharge was needed. And this product should just moisturize and saturate: it contains grape seed, argan, sesame, shea and hibiscus oils. What else would bribe the defenders of animals and nature – the brand fundamentally does not test its products on animals, therefore, if you are in the “green” camp, you can safely count on this product. However, back to expectations. The skin at this time of the year will also benefit from additional hydration, – so I thought, realizing that the product came across multifunctional. Especially after the pool. But to test the oil on the face, hmm …
Reality: the first thing that rushes, excuse me, in the nose is a rather strong smell of fragrances. Although he is pleasant, he is ready to argue even with your perfume.
I applied it immediately after washing, on towel-dried hair, which I then dried with a hairdryer. Absorbs instantly! There is not a hint of oily content, the hair is well combed, becomes soft. So soft that if you have them thin, they will not hold the volume at all. Otherwise, it is a great tool that does everything that is promised.
The oil is absorbed into the skin just as quickly and well. Feeling – as if after a session in a beauty salon, when you are rubbed for an hour with various means, it becomes so velvety. But I didn’t like the feeling of it on my face at all. Although the oil was quickly absorbed, and did not leave a greasy feeling, I really wanted to wash after it. Which I ended up doing.
The bottom line is a wonderful way to travel to the sea. Take it with you on vacation and kill two birds with one stone. You will also save space in your suitcase.
