Today, it is possible to increase the length and volume of hair in just a few hours – in beauty salons this service is done for a very reasonable fee. However, such a popular and seemingly harmless procedure can lead to rather negative consequences and worsen the condition of the hair.

Hair extension is carried out in several ways, differing not only in technology and materials used, but also in care. With British ultrasound technology, foreign strands are soldered using a keratin resin capsule. In Spanish, the strands are glued with a special compound. It happens that the hair is attached with beads.
Each method has its own drawbacks, many of which negatively affect the condition of the hair. So, the adhesive composition does not allow the use of masks and oils to care for the hair, and when removing the hair extended in this way, a special agent resembling acetone is used. The presence of capsules on the hair suggests drying the strands exclusively with a hairdryer, which can also weaken the hair. With improper care of hair extensions, they will be weak.

Hair extensions look beautiful and impressive in the first few days after the procedure, as well as in advertising photos. During this procedure, a section of the hair is sealed or damaged, as a result of which nutrients can no longer enter the ends. So after removing the extended strands, it is often necessary to significantly shorten the length of the native hair.
In addition, prolonged wearing of foreign strands excludes, as already mentioned, the use of nourishing and moisturizing masks. But additional nutrition in modern ecology is extremely important for maintaining healthy hair.
