Hair Extension Methods: Which Is Better? Video

A luxurious head of hair is the dream of many girls. But not all hair grows quickly or has sufficient volume. In such cases, hair extensions come to the rescue – a quick way to find chic hair for a long time.

Hair extension methods: which one to choose?

This method is also called English or Italian. Hair strands for hot extensions have special keratin capsules. During the procedure, they are melted with a special gun or clamp, due to which the strands are glued to your natural hair, and at the place of attachment the master forms a small ball.

Hot or capsule extensions look very natural, and hair can be worn for up to six months. The capsules prevent hair from falling out, so the hairstyle looks neat for a long time. However, be careful when using a hairdryer or hair straighteners to avoid melting the capsules. Sometimes hair is extended with a special resin or silicone, but such hair is very afraid of high temperatures and the sun.

Capsule extensions are not recommended for girls with thin or weakened hair, as well as those suffering from migraines and high blood pressure

Cold extensions are less harmful to native hair than hot ones. The fastest way to cold build is tape. The strands used are fixed on special tapes, which are glued to the base of the hair with a special glue. This method is the cheapest and fastest, and it is also suitable for thin hair, on which capsules are not recommended. However, ribbons can be seen with some hairstyles, and the hair is combed out quite quickly.

To care for hair extensions, you need a special comb and shampoo. Braid your hair at night

The Spanish way is to attach the strands with glue. In this case, a glue capsule is also formed at the base of the hair. Spanish extension combines the advantages of hot and cold methods – it does not injure the hair and allows you to do different hairstyles. However, this type of extension has a noticeable disadvantage: the glue has a light shade and can be noticeable on the hair of brunettes. But a good master will be able to carry out the procedure efficiently and hide traces of glue in visible places.

Aphrostitching, or sewing on tress, is another popular method. The hair for such a procedure is attached to special wefts, which are braided into thin braids along with your own hair. No glue, silicone or keratin are used for afro-enlargement, which reduces the risk of allergies. The hair itself holds very well, but with some hairstyles, the braids become visible.

When building with metal beads, no chemicals are used either. The strands are attached using clip beads, matched to the hair color. Invisible beads allow you to build up a few side strands or even bangs. Hair extended in this way is not afraid of high temperatures, alcohol compounds or a pool, because there is no glue or keratin on them. But this method is quite traumatic for native hair: the clamped strands are frayed and begin to break. It is not recommended to wear such hair for a long time.
