Hair coloring with basma. Video
In terms of the quality of hair coloring, colors, ease of use and safety, Basma can compete with the most expensive hair dyes. The secret of its popularity is simple: Basma is a natural product that not only gives the hair a luxurious shade, but also heals the hair.
Basma is the dried and powdered indigo leaves. It is a grayish green powder.
This natural dye has a wonderful effect on the condition of the hair:
- activates their growth
- fights dandruff
- strengthens hair follicles
- gives the strands a luxurious shine, etc.
When buying basma, be sure to look at its expiration date. Expired and low-quality dye can dry out hair and ruin its color.
When dyed with pure basma, the hair acquires a specific greenish tint. To avoid this, henna is added to the coloring composition. Depending on the amount of henna added to the mixture, the intensity of hair coloring and their shade change. To get a rich black color, take 2 part of henna for 1 parts of basma. But for a bronze color, 2 part of basma is taken for 1 parts of henna. You can also get a chestnut shade: for this, the same amount of basma is taken for 1 part of henna.
For a light brown color, the components are mixed in the same proportions as for a chestnut shade, only they keep the dye on the hair for no more than 30 minutes
Take a mixture of basma with henna (the proportion depends on the desired result), fill it with water, the temperature of which should be 90 ° C. Water is added gradually, while the components are constantly mixed, as a result of which a coloring mixture should be obtained, which in consistency resembles thick sour cream.
The hot composition is applied to the root zone and the strand is evenly distributed over the entire length. It is advisable to start the staining procedure from the back of the head, smoothly moving to the front. Immediately before applying the dye mixture, put on protective clothing or a special professional apron, since basma with henna is very poorly washed from clothes. The forehead is smeared with a fat cream, otherwise the cosmetic mixture will stain the skin.
Do not dye your hair with basma after you have permed
After applying the coloring gruel, the head is covered with a plastic bag and insulated with a terry towel. After 1,5-2 hours, the mask is washed off with warm water (without using shampoo).
Features of hair dyeing with basma
Basma stays on the hair for a long time, so you often don’t have to dye it: it’s enough just to tint the growing roots from time to time. And 2-3 months after dyeing the hair with basma, the hair can be dyed with a chemical composition: you should not experiment earlier, otherwise the color may turn out to be the most unpredictable. And besides, it is better to first apply the paint on a separate strand, look at the reaction and only then only paint the hair.
