Gyno Femidazol is a medical preparation dedicated to women struggling with vaginal fungal infections. The active substance of Gyno Femidazole is miconazole, a popular antifungal and antibacterial drug. What are the contraindications to the use of Gyno Femidazole? How to use this preparation correctly? Does taking Gyno Femidazole have any side effects?
Ingredients and action of Gyno Femidazole
Gyno Femidazole is an antifungal drug belonging to the group of imidazole derivatives. The active substance of Gyno Femidazole is miconazole, which effectively eliminates many species of dermatophytes and yeasts. The mechanism of action of miconazole is based on the inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cells. This in turn causes a change in the lipid composition of the cell membrane, which causes the fungal cells to die gradually. Gyno Femidazole is fungicidal and fungistatic, as well as bactericidal and bacteriostatic. This drug works well for fungi such as yeasts, dermatophytes, and in the case of bacteria, for gram-positive rods and cocci. Leko Gyno Femidazole is intended for topical application and is applied vaginally. After this use, the absorption of miconazole through the mucous membranes is clinically insignificant.
