Despite the fact that this problem is quite common, it is more common in women and in people with a family history of frequent canker sores on the gums. Gingival sores, if they are small, disappear quickly, but have a tendency to come back. It is difficult to clearly define the causes of aphthae on the gums. Their formation is influenced by many factors and the fact that they can be a symptom of diseases or inflammations. The causes of aphthae on the gums can be divided according to their type. Small mouth ulcers on the gums most often occur as a result of mechanical trauma, abrasions or cuts, e.g. when eating a meal with cutlery or brushing teeth. Another reason for the formation of small aphthae on the gums may be periodontal disease, caries or the loss of a figure eight. Treatment of canker sores on the gums

We can apply tea compresses on the gum with aphtha, which have a soothing and drying effect. It is very important to decontaminate the site of aphtha with hydrogen peroxide or by rinsing the mouth with baking soda and water, or a solution of saline and water. At the pharmacy, we can also get over-the-counter medications that will allow us to get rid of canker sores on the gums faster. These agents are mainly anti-inflammatory and antiseptic and should be used as recommended in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
