Empathy and solidarity allow us to offer our support and help in the circumstances where we see the suffering and the necesidad of others, but are we aware of our need to take care of ourselves? Who cares for the caregiver? We should know how to answer this question so that we can also feel welcomed in our vulnerability. We are not superheroes but people helping people, from our knowledge, experience and shared humanity.

Sometimes we have transmitted fullfilment of security requirements y calm when insecurity and fears were present, other times, we have cared when we were really weak too. This comforts us because we alleviate the suffering of people but it can also generate an empathic exhaustion in which we exhaust ourselves.

It is for this reason that it is important listen to us, attend us and know how to ask for help. It is important to take care of the caregiver. It is important to continue nurturing shared humanity and to continue to treat each other with kindness and respect, with care and attention.

And, for this, we have prepared the meditation of this week, to consider ourselves from our own vulnerability, take care of it, take care of it and thus be able to continue caring and attending as we wish. We invite you to listen to it.
