Guided meditation How to avoid falling into the trap of our own expectations
The psychologist Belén Colomina, an expert in mindfulness, teaches us in this guided meditation session to deal with our expectations by learning to relativize them, to frame them in the relational context and to use them to our benefit

It is inevitable to create expectations constant on everything that surrounds us, what should happen, how they should respond to us, what we should like or not. From the smallest event to the most anticipated event, all of them can be filled with predetermined details. Faced with such an irremediable scenario, we forget that what we hope so much for is nothing more than a subjective mental creation that we dye from certainty y reality. A private reality “made to measure” that, as soon as it lands in the external and objectifiable world, can be shattered into a thousand pieces.
La frustration o affliction derived from when our expectations are not met is a trap of our beliefs and it will be greater the more commitment and adherence we have to them.
Learning to relativize them, frame them in the relational context and know how to use them will be key points to avoid falling into their trap. Because it is they who let us down, not people or situations, but they are also the ones that allow us to continue with a horizon According to our wishes, they allow us to continue dreaming and creating an internal reality. Better to learn from them than not to fall into their trap.
For this, I have prepared this meditation. So that we choose to create hope and not fall into the discomfort of our own trap.
