The head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Michał Dworczyk, reminded on Thursday that the center that conducts medical activities is responsible for the organization of the drive-thru vaccination point.

A few days ago, Dworczyk emphasized that we do not have enough vaccinations, but we are getting ready so that when they arrive, “you no longer have to think about organizing new points, forms, procedures, but vaccinate as many people as possible”.

Drive thru vaccinations: what criteria for points?

The Ministry of Health published on its website guidelines for the organization of drive-thru points for vaccination against COVID-19.

The consent to open such a point is issued by the National Health Fund after verifying the fulfillment of formal requirements, analyzing the need for an additional vaccination point in a given area and a visit before the start of vaccinations.

In accordance with the guidelines available on the MZ website, drive-thru points are intended for people arriving in a road-legal vehicle (including a motorcycle).

Patients should print out and complete the pre-vaccination interview questionnaire before going to vaccination. Vaccinated patients and accompanying persons must wear a mouth and nose mask.

You should arrive at the drive thru vaccination point no earlier than 10 minutes before the scheduled vaccination time. It is forbidden to have pets in vehicles.

Vaccinated vehicle drivers should wait at least 20 minutes. after vaccination in the designated post-vaccination car park located near the vaccination site.

Patients are generally in their car during qualification and vaccination. In exceptional circumstances, the DT point should allow vaccination outside the vehicle – e.g. in a sitting position.

The drive-thru point should provide appropriate persons to handle and vaccinate patients: persons with qualifications to qualify and perform vaccinations, persons performing administrative tasks (including filling out vaccination e-cards, organizing the preliminary interview questionnaires before vaccination and other required documents), people ordering the traffic of vehicles in the DT point, people supervising the condition of patients in the post-vaccination car park. Optionally, they can also have an ambulance.

Qualified for vaccination are persons practicing the following professions: doctor, dentist, nurse, midwife, medical assistant, paramedic, school hygienist, physiotherapist, pharmacist, laboratory diagnostician and people who are studying in the fifth or sixth year of studies in the field of medicine or in the third year of first-cycle studies in the field of nursing.

The persons authorized to carry out vaccinations are: doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, paramedics, paramedics, physiotherapists, pharmacists, school hygienists and laboratory diagnosticians. Persons practicing some of the above professions should obtain a document confirming their ability to qualify and / or perform vaccinations.
