Gryzhnik is a perennial herbaceous plant, greenish-yellow, creeping. Branched stems reach a length of 20-25 cm, their surface is bare or pubescent. The leaves are small with whitish membranous stipules. In May and until mid-October, small flowers appear, inexpressive, because due to the same color as that of the stem, they merge with it. The flowers are collected in capitate spike-shaped inflorescences. The fruit is spherical or slightly elongated, a small non-opening nut located in the calyx. Seeds are lenticular, dark brown, shiny, smooth. Grass can be found in the forest-steppe zone and in woodland. The plant chooses to populate the fields left for fallow, wastelands, rural estates and vegetable gardens. It exudes a coumarin smell when dry. After the cut, the branches grow back. All parts of the herb are suitable for treatment.
Useful properties of hernia
