Discharge from the breast before pregnancy
Yes, it is not only during the nursing period that the mammary gland can secrete fluid. The most serious symptom is the appearance of discharge from the mammary gland, especially bleeding from the nipples. This is the main symptom of breast cancer. Therefore, if spotting or green discharge appears, urgently contact a mammologist. The doctor himself prescribes an ultrasound scan, a mammogram, and a study of secretions.
There is milk-like discharge from the mammary glands. That is, the woman does not breastfeed, but there is discharge. These are hormonal disorders provoked by a pituitary tumor. Which is also very serious and requires a doctor’s consultation.
If one of the symptoms appears: discharge from the mammary glands, pain not associated with the cycle, for no apparent reason, the breasts began to grow, you should definitely consult a doctor.
Breasts can grow several sizes at any age
A sharp increase in breasts even in adulthood, when the body is fully formed, is possible, but this does not mean that everything is fine. During menstruation, a woman’s breasts can increase by 1-2 sizes, and this is considered normal, but not related to the menstrual cycle should alert. At best, this can signal pregnancy, but not always. Painful, swollen breasts are a sign of mastopathy. With the progression of the disease, neoplasms appear in the mammary gland, lymph nodes increase, and nipple discharge appears. It is very important to carry out accurate diagnostics on time. Therefore, if uncharacteristic chest pains appear, this is a reason to go to the doctor.
Why does the breast increase during menstruation
If a woman has a more pronounced glandular component, then, of course, it will respond to the fluctuation of progesterone – it will swell, increase. Therefore, in the second phase of the menstrual cycle, the mammary gland increases, becomes more elastic and painful. Because with an increase in the mammary gland, the nerve endings are compressed, and mastalgia is formed, that is, soreness in the area of the mammary glands. If there is little glandular tissue, the breast will hardly respond to menstrual changes. An excessive amount of glandular tissue (glandular mastopathy) also signals disorders in the body. Hormonal disturbances lead to the proliferation of glandular tissue.
In the climacteric period, when there are no hormones that affect the menstrual cycle, the female breast does not manifest itself in any way.
One breast is larger than the other
If one breast is larger than the other, it is genetic. The human body is not symmetrical; women always have one breast slightly larger than the other. There is a very big difference, for example, there was a case: the girl had one breast of the first number, and the second of the third, but this is already a reason for surgical correction. A consultation with a mammologist is mandatory, and then an implant is surgically implanted.
