Gripex Max is a medicine for colds. The active substances contained in it fight the typical symptoms of flu and colds, i.e. fever, cough, bone and joint pain. However, some precautions should be taken when using this medication. Taking Gripex Max, it is very easy to overdose, for example, paracetamol.

Gripex Max is a medicine used during colds and flu. The task of Gripex Max is to eliminate annoying ailments. Remember, however, that its action is quite short-lived and the symptoms will return when the drug stops working.

Gripex Max – indications

Gripex Max should be used in the treatment of severe symptoms of colds and flu, as well as various flu-related conditions. We most often take Gripex Max when there is a fever, runny nose, cough, headache, throat pain, muscle pain and joint pain.

Gripex Max – drug action

Gripex Max has an antipyretic and analgesic effect mainly due to the paracetamol content. On the other hand, the dextromethorphan contained in Gripex Max has a cough-relieving effect. The last ingredient that helps us feel better is pseudoephedrine, which clears the nose.

Gripex Max – composition

One Gripex Max tablet contains 500 mg of paracetamol, 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 15 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide. Among the auxiliary substances we can find, among others tartrazine.

Gripex Max – side effects

Gripex Max is an easily available drug. The preparation can be purchased at any pharmacy without a prescription. Side effects of using Gripex Max are:

  1. hypersensitivity or allergies to active or auxiliary substances,
  2. taking other medicines containing paracetamol,
  3. taking MAO inhibitors, you should also not take Gripex Max within 2 weeks of stopping taking them,
  4. congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase,
  5. kidney or liver failure
  6. hypertension,
  7. ischemic heart disease,
  8. alcohol abuse,
  9. asthma,
  10. pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Gripex Max is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Gripex Max – side effects

Gripex Max is considered a safe drug. However, there may be various side effects of its action. Side effects include:

  1. immune system disorders,
  2. allergic reaction, rash reddening of the skin
  3. mental disorders, hallucinations,
  4. drowsiness, dizziness
  5. tachycardia,
  6. vascular disorders,
  7. high blood pressure
  8. bronchial asthma,
  9. nausea, vomiting
  10. liver damage due to overdose,
  11. renal colic
  12. renal papillary necrosis,
  13. acute kidney failure,
  14. urolithiasis,
  15. urination disorders,
  16. tiredness.

Gripex Max – dosage

Gripex Max is used orally. Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 1-2 tablets 3 or 4 times a day. However, the amount of 8 tablets a day should not be exceeded.

Gripex Max – contraindications

The use of Gripex Max is not recommended for people with:

  1. liver failure, abusing alcohol and starving, as there is a greater risk of liver damage,
  2. kidney failure
  3. high blood pressure and heart problems,
  4. emphysema,
  5. intraocular pressure,
  6. prostatic hypertrophy,
  7. an overactive thyroid gland,
  8. diabetes,
  9. treated disorders such as anxiety, depression – drugs that suppress appetite, decongestants and psychostimulants resembling amphetamines,
  10. chronic wet cough
  11. respiratory failure and asthma.

Gripex Max should not be used by people taking anticoagulant medications. You cannot drink alcohol during the treatment. Gripex Max can cause allergic reactions.
