The frame has several sections, which makes it possible to build a greenhouse 6 or 4 meters in length. The width of the arcs is distinguished by a rather large figure – 1,2 meters. This allows you not to build two greenhouses side by side, but to place not one, but two beds in one building. The structure is about 70 cm in height, which is also a pretty good indicator, since the plants will have room to grow up. The branches of plants will not be crowded, so the yield will please gardeners with the number of fruits.
As in all greenhouses of this type, access to plants and soil is from the sides of the greenhouse. This is quite convenient and allows you to fertilize, water or trim the plant with high quality. It is also quite comfortable that the covering cover is already sewn to the frame, this allows you not to bother about the fact that the fabric will constantly slip when cleaning the soil. Another option called Agronomist. The frame also consists of plastic pipes, the diameter of which is 20 mm and the length is 2 meters. The design is also equipped with special legs for installing the frame, with dimensions of 20 cm. However, unlike the previous greenhouse, the height of the frame can vary from 70 to 90 cm.
The quality of the material also differs. If in the Dayas greenhouse it was a fabric, then the Agronom greenhouse is equipped with a coating called Grotex-42. The frame is equipped with several sections that can be used on 4-6 m of soil. It can be concluded that the main difference between the two most popular greenhouses is the material for shelter and the height of the arcs.
How to choose arch material
If you do not want to spend money on buying a finished greenhouse, then you can easily make it yourself. However, before starting work, you need to decide on the size of the future greenhouse and the material with which you plan to work. The main issue in building a greenhouse with your own hands is the choice of the quality of the arcs.
There are several options, each with its own pros and cons:
- frame made of aluminum arcs;
- from metal-plastic;
- steel pipes;
- plastic arcs.
Firstly, when choosing a material for the frame, you need to start from the price that you are willing to spend money on. One of the most not only expensive, but also difficult options is a greenhouse made of aluminum arcs. Firstly, for a high-quality frame, it is necessary to order metal so that it is the same in shape and not thin, and secondly, working with aluminum arcs will be quite difficult if you do not have professional experience.
However, this option has its advantages:
- long service life and strength of matter;
- fairly light weight;
- ease of cladding with the help of covering material;
- metal rust resistance.
Nevertheless, despite the rather expensive price of matter, a greenhouse with an aluminum frame is quite easy to install not only in the ground, but also in the prepared foundation.
One of the most win-win options is a frame made of metal-plastic pipes, which, unlike aluminum, is quite simple to do with your own hands. In this case, one can note a rather small weight of the frame, but at the same time a good level of strength. If you decide to make arcs with your own hands from metal-plastic pipes, then it is better to choose pipes with a large diameter. This will help extend the life, add strength and resistance to corrosion.
Nevertheless, as practice shows, the cheapest, simplest and most durable material for building a greenhouse of this kind is plastic. Making a greenhouse with your own hands from plastic arcs is the easiest. Almost every owner will be able to find propylene or thick-walled hoses. This option of creating a frame with your own hands has many advantages, including:
- Cheap cost
- ease of manufacture of the frame;
- long service life;
- easy to use and change the shape of the structure.
If you chose plastic as the material for creating do-it-yourself arcs, then it is better to choose denser hoses. This will save both time and effort.
How to make
Making a greenhouse from covering material and metal arcs is a fairly simple task. After choosing the material for the manufacture of the frame and covering material, it is necessary to proceed directly to the creation of the greenhouse:
- sheathe the material of the arc;
- fasten them to the frame;
- make special legs in the frame for fastening.
