Since 2003, Green Mark vodka has been produced by the Topaz enterprise in Pushkino, Moscow Region. It contains luxury alcohol, softened and purified water, wheat extract, glucose and malic acid. All processes are automated. The drink is filtered twice – with coal and silver, which makes the taste soft and light. The brand in 2012 entered the top three Russian leaders in terms of sales, ranks second in the world ranking of the Millionaires Club and is now supplied to 20 countries around the world.
About the manufacturer. Established in 2002, the Topaz distillery is a powerful Russian enterprise, part of the Russian Alcohol group, specializing in the production of alcoholic beverages of various strengths – from vodka to low-alcohol cocktails. But the main specialization is still vodka, and in 2012 the company topped the list of leaders in the production of traditional Russian alcohol. The quality of Topaz drinks is confirmed by a certificate from NQA (England).
Until 2013, the Russian Alcohol group was part of the Polish holding Central European Distribution Corporation, but then CEDC filed for bankruptcy and handed over the reins of the Roust Trading Ltd to Rustam Tariko. Today Rust is a successful producer and distributor of alcohol in Europe. In his case, in addition to Green Mark, there are vodkas Russian Standard, Zhuravli, Parliament, Polish Zubrówka. Roust Trading Ltd also has its own wine house Gancia.
Green Mark design features
In 2016, an updated bottle of the Green Mark appeared on store shelves. The new design was developed by the London-based design studio, which is also owned by Rust.
Throughout the history of the brand, the design has been updated three times:
- in 2007, the company decided to give the brand authenticity by changing the color palette and paper quality for the label;
- in 2011, CEDC made the design more modern – the bottle became taller, the neck was longer and narrower, and the label was made translucent;
- in 2015, already the head of Roust Trading Ltd, decided to give the drink a premium look, as required by high quality.
The bottle has become more concise and slightly stocky, the paper label has been replaced by a film label with the brand logo. On the reverse side of the slogan: “Time flows, we remain ourselves.” Engraving and relief embossing appeared on the glass, an individual number appeared on the side label, and the collar (“collar” on the neck with information about the quality or status of the drink) was supplemented by a hanging string label with a wax seal, symbolizing loyalty to traditions.
As Rustam Tariko says, the new accents should increase brand recognition, which is becoming as global as Russian Standard or Zubrówka. Thus, brand awareness was increased, including in the international market, the geography of which the company is steadily expanding.
