Although it would seem that parsley is only a pleasant addition to all dishes, sauces and soups, it has a surprisingly good effect on the human body. Many of us forget about it, being interested in foreign novelties, seasonal hits for immunity, such as cistus or fennel. It turns out, however, that it is the plant from our home yard, known for generations, added to our mothers and grandmothers’ dinners, that can do a lot. Its extraordinary properties will make you want to add parsley to every meal!

  1. It will make you immune to diseases and infections. Parsley is a natural way to strengthen the body’s resistance to diseases. This is because it contains huge amounts of vitamin C, which is an immune-boosting vitamin. Inconspicuous parsley has four times more of it than kiwi, sauerkraut or even lemon! This is one of the best methods to naturally strengthen the body during the period of increased risk of illness.
  2. It is a component of many drugs. Its extraordinary properties have been known for centuries all over the world. It is an ideal and completely safe alternative to pharmacy specifics. Eating parsley daily will help eliminate infections, cold symptoms and fever. In addition, it purifies the blood, has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, has a diuretic effect (so it will be useful in the treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases). How to store parsley so that it retains its wonderful properties?

The best version is, of course, the one grown in your own garden or on the window. Thanks to this, we know that it does not contain chemical additives and is available at any time. However, if you do not have the opportunity to grow parsley yourself, when buying it in the store, you must follow certain rules:

  • Keep a bunch of leaves in cold water for no more than two to three days.
  • When you decide to store it in the fridge, the washed and shaken off excess water wrap the bunch with a paper towel and put it in the least cold place of the fridge.
  • If stored in the freezer, chop the parsley and store in a plastic box.
