Greek salad sauce: recipe with video

But if neither option suits you, turn to Greek cuisine. Ancient culinary experts have long come up with a recipe for Greek salad and dressings for you.

To prepare this sauce, you will need: – 2 teaspoons of lemon juice; – half a teaspoon of mustard (better sweet, but a spicy version is acceptable); – 4 tablespoons of olive oil; – one clove of garlic; – salt, pepper and seasonings to taste …

Combine all of the above ingredients and a finely chopped garlic clove. Season the salad right before serving, as lemon juice can make it juicy.

The most suitable seasonings for this type of dressing are basil and oregano.

Sweet sauce

Required ingredients: – 200-250 ml of olive oil; – a couple of teaspoons of sweet mustard; – 1-2 teaspoons of liquid honey (better than linden or flower); – 3 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar; – half a table leg of lemon juice; – salt and pepper; – one clove of garlic; – some of the most suitable cheese for a Greek salad – chopped feta cheese.

Stir well the olive oil, vinegar, citrus juice and honey in a bowl with a fork or whisk. Then crush a clove of garlic with a knife and add it to the bowl. Then add mustard, salt and pepper to the mixture. Add small pieces of feta cheese.

Dzatziki sauce

You will need the following products: – 1-1,5 cups of thick sour cream (can be replaced with yogurt); – 2 fresh cucumbers; – 4-5 cloves of garlic; – 100 ml of wine or apple cider vinegar; – 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil; – black pepper, salt; – a pinch of dill.

Grate the peeled cucumbers. Add chopped garlic, dill, sour cream, vinegar and dill to them. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Finally, add olive oil to the mixture.

Sauce with two types of butter

Required ingredients: – 100 ml of wine vinegar; – a couple of minced garlic cloves; – half a teaspoon of dried basil; – one tablespoon of sugar; – 150-200 ml each of olive and sunflower oil; – salt and pepper.

Mix all the ingredients in the sauce except the oils. Wait 10-15 minutes for the ingredients to soak in the vinegar, then pour in the olive and sunflower oil. Try to serve the seasoned salad as soon as possible.
