Fresh oil contamination can be removed with napkins and an iron. Place napkins over the fabric on both sides and iron the resulting “sandwich” at a temperature of about 100 degrees until the stain disappears.

If the contaminated clothing has been left for a long time, then the oil has stuck into the fabric quite strongly. When washing powders, stain removers and bleaches do not cope with a stain, you can use proven folk remedies.

A solution of a teaspoon of washing powder, reinforced with the same amount of ammonia, removes grease stains well. The mixture should be diluted in half a glass of warm water, rubbed over the stain, rinsed and ironed with a hot iron through a light cloth.

Delicate (e.g. silk) fabrics require a different approach. Half a tablespoon of ammonia should be mixed with a spoonful of glycerin and the same amount of boiling water. Apply the mixture to the contaminated area for 10-15 minutes without rubbing. After the stain disappears, you can rinse the product in clean water.

Tough stubborn stains can be removed with gasoline. You need to rub the product with a cotton swab soaked in the product on a piece of white cotton cloth from the wrong side. After removing contamination, clothes should be washed with soap and rinsed thoroughly.

Gasoline can be mixed with magnesium powder. This mixture should be laid out on an old oil stain, allowed to dry, and then brushed off the fabric. Next, a regular wash and rinse is required.
