Grappa glass

A grappa glass is a special glass that is designed exclusively for drinking grappa. As a rule, the volume of a grappa glass is 90 ml, it has a wide base, and narrows closer to the edges.

To date, there are various variations of this glass, but they all have a common feature – a long stem. Since this type of glass is not always available in a bar, a cognac or sherry glass is usually used instead. It is generally accepted that a grappa glass should be filled to 3/4 of the total volume. Also a very popular grappa glass shape is the tulip shape. Such a glass has a narrow “waist” and open edges at the top. Thanks to this form, all the taste qualities of grappa are fully revealed.
