Is grapefruit good for weight loss at night?
The assertion that grapefruit supposedly breaks down body fat has not been officially confirmed by any scientist or professional nutritionist. Fat-burning effect is possessed only by products with a high content of caffeine, tannin or kakhetin – metabolic accelerators. But they are not able to make a person slim: for example, in order for green or black coffee to provoke an accelerated breakdown of at least 100 g of fat, you need to drink at least 10 liters at a time, which is physically impossible and harmful to health.
If grapefruit will help you lose weight, then only as an evening snack and with a few reservations:
- you can not eat grapefruit just before bedtime;

- in the presence of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, it is better not to experiment with the orange-red fruit.
A slice of grapefruit 2-3 hours before bedtime will help to feel full and hold out light, especially if it is important for a person not to eat full food after 18:00. But in some cases, the sour taste of citrus can have a completely different effect: to whet the appetite even more.
