The growth rate of shoots is determined by experts as medium and high. Therefore, in order to prevent chaotic growth, which spoils the appearance of the vineyard and reduces crop yields, annual pruning is performed.

Medium-sized, slightly dissected leaves have a rounded five-lobed shape. The surface of the leaf plate is glossy, pubescent, covered with reticulate wrinkles.

The flowers of grapes are bisexual, so the pollination of the plant occurs without the participation of crops of other varieties.

Attention! One of the distinguishing features of the Gift of Magarach grapes is its ability to regenerate, which allows the bushes to quickly recover in the spring even after winter freezing.

Grape care Gift of Magarach

Grape care Gift of Magarach is almost the same as for other representatives of this culture.

In the list of events:

  2. Top dressing. Fertilizers for grapes Gift of Magarach are selected individually, taking into account the composition of the soil and the climatic characteristics of the region in which it grows.
  3. Pruning. The recommended bush form for this variety is a two-shouldered cordon. After autumn pruning, 45-50 eyes should remain on the vine. Shoots are removed by 2-3 buds. To prevent overloading of the vine, the bushes are rationed, leaving no more than two clusters on the shoots.
  4. Cold protection. One of the most popular ways to protect against cold weather is called a dry shelter, during which the vine is laid on dry material (wood, roofing felt, cardboard), covered with polyethylene, and a heater is placed on top – agrofabric, spunbond, etc.

For the prevention of diseases, the bushes are treated twice a season with a solution of colloidal sulfur, iron or copper sulfate. It will help prevent trouble and pollination of bushes with sulfur, which experts recommend doing at an air temperature of at least +20 ° C.

Grapes can become a victim of pests such as leafworm and grape itch. To prevent the appearance of a leaflet, in the spring, before the start of sap flow, they remove and burn all the bark that has exfoliated during the winter. After this, the plantings are treated with copper sulphate or colloidal sulfur.

To prevent grape itch before bud break, shoots are sprayed with insecticides.

Advice! If the buds have already blossomed, you can pollinate the bushes with sulfur.

During the fruiting period, growers have to deal with invasions of birds and wasps. Sound devices (rattles) help to scare away the first ones, and they cope with wasps with the help of special traps – bottles with an insecticide solution. To lure insects, sugar is added to the solution.

Warning! Wasp nests found on the site are subject to immediate destruction.

Reviews of grapes Gift of Magarach

Ivanenko Dmitry, Rostov region
I planted several cuttings of Magarach’s Gift. They woke up for a long time, but then they started to grow and caught up with the rest of the varieties. Due to inexperience, I almost allowed an outbreak of mildew, but nothing happened. The berries are not particularly sweet in taste, but the wine turned out excellent. I will grow more.
Kiryanova Olesya, Bataysk
I like the fact that the berries of this variety practically do not crack. It does not require special care, and this is also good. Of course, we had to fight against diseases, but we managed. And the harvest was good. They made so much wine that you can receive guests for a whole year.
