The Talisman grape is derived from the Delight and Frumoas Albé varieties. A very fruitful hybrid, the ripe berries of which can hang on the vine for a long time without falling or crumbling.

“Talisman” takes root well in different climatic conditions. They gather a rich harvest both in the southern regions and in the northern ones. It ripens even in a short summer period with unstable weather.

The Talisman grape has a rich harvest with large berries.

The variety has a fast harvest. Already in the second year, the planted shoots begin to bear fruit.

Description of the variety:

  • taste: sweet with a specific nutmeg aroma, does not change during ripening;
  • color: closer to white, with a light green tint;
  • the shape of the berries is oval;
  • berry size: approximately 3,5 cm by 3 cm;
  • berry weight: 12-16 g;
  • bunch weight: 0,8 kg to 1,2 kg;
  • bunch density: medium;
  • acidity: from 6-8 g / 1 l;
  • sugar in berries: 18% to 24%;
  • early-middle variety: ripens 127-135 days;
  • frost resistance: high -25 degrees;
  • flowers: female, therefore for pollination it is necessary to have a male or bisexual grape bush nearby.

The harvest is always high. Fruit-bearing shoots make up 75-90% of their total. Therefore, sometimes inflorescences need to be normalized – to remove excess ones so as not to overload the bush.

Growing “Talisman” in the garden

It is not difficult to grow this hybrid on your site. The seedling adapts quickly and takes root easily.

Conditions that are necessary for growing a hybrid:

  1. Sunlight. These grapes need a lot of sunlight. It is best to plant it on the south or southwest side, so that the hybrid is not shaded all day.
  2. Shelter from the wind. He does not like wind and drafts. Therefore, it is planted behind houses, buildings and trees.
  3. Elevation. “Talisman” is not planted in the lowlands, as the cool air can make it sick and wither away.
  4. Fertile soil. The best option would be black soil. The land should be light and water permeable. But on loamy soils, a good harvest also comes out.
  5. Regular feeding. Grapes need to be fed with fertilizers, especially if the soil is infertile. For this, humus, potassium, phosphates, nitrogen are suitable.

Also grapes need watering in dry weather. He needs preventive spraying against pests and diseases.

If all conditions are met, then “Talisman” will delight you with delicious high-quality fruits. With the right care, you can achieve record yields even when compared to other varieties.
