PSYchology

Once, at a party, they asked me to talk to Grandma Tamara: everyone was worried, because she had recently begun to refuse to eat, and, although she used to be lively and talkative, now she silently sat in her room, often not even turning on the light. Yes, that’s how it was, I saw it all myself when they took me to her and introduced me as a doctor.

I liked her right away. She was sitting in her chair, covered with a blanket, her eyes were half closed, but her face had a very bright expression, as if she was remembering something very good.

“Tamara Vladimirovna, I am a pediatrician. I looked at Masha, she is doing well, but she asks about you. I want to tell you: now your grandchildren really need you. You still need to live. This is a request to you: you still need to work hard. Everyone loves you very much, and it’s very difficult with the little ones now, and no one knows how to talk to them better than you. At least the next year… Will you live longer?”

Tamara Vladimirovna did not answer right away, she looked somewhere inside herself … But then she moved her fingers, as if kneading them, after that she smiled and put her palm on my brush. «Everything will be fine! I promise you!» — she said. «I am coming now. Bring me some warm tea!»

Then they told me that Grandma Tamara recovered and seemed to come to life.
