Not all yoghurts on our store shelves are healthy. What to look for when choosing yoghurts to get the most out of them?
1. Yoghurts should be kept in refrigerators and display cases.
2. The shelf life of healthy yoghurt does not exceed 3 weeks.
3. The packaging must indicate that the yoghurt contains live bacteria or yoghurt cultures.
4. The composition of a good yoghurt should not contain any chemical additives – dyes, stabilizers and flavor enhancers. Natural yogurt without additives will cost more.
5. The calorie content of yogurt is 100-250 kcal per 100 grams, outside of these units, most likely, not a natural product.
6. Prefer low sugar yoghurts or natural sweeteners – muesli, maple syrup, fructose.
7. Crumpled or torn packaging indicates a violation of transportation and storage. Such yoghurt can be easily poisoned.
8. It is better not to buy yoghurts and other fermented milk products for stocks – most likely, they want to get rid of the goods at any cost, or the shelf life is about to expire. There is already little useful in such a product.
