But when a person actually lives in accordance with religious principles, it changes his behavior and affects the development of personality. Australian psychologists from the University of Wulongong studied more than 700 teenagers over several years, starting (on average) at the age of 13. It turned out that faith helps boys to restrain their impulsiveness and emotional outbursts, while in girls it enhances the development of positive personality traits – they become more joyful, thoughtful, open to other people.
