The feeling of dry throat affects people who work with their voice on a daily basis, smokers and patients suffering from certain diseases. There are a number of ways to soothe irritation. One of the medical devices designed for this is Glosal.
What is Glosal?
Glosal is a medical device in the form of a spray. It is intended for use on dry throat and mouth to moisturize the mucosa. Glosal can be used regardless of the cause of dryness. It is recommended to use in the case of:
- people who use their voice to a large extent on a daily basis,
- patients who are undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy,
- people living in hostile conditions – Glosal will work for those who are exposed to inhaling polluted or dusty air,
- people staying in rooms with extreme temperatures related to air conditioning or central heating,
- smokers – Glosal soothes irritations associated with inhaling substances contained in cigarettes,
- patients taking antiallergic, antidepressant, antihypertensive, sedative, bronchodilator, diuretic, cytostatic or neuroleptic drugs
- people suffering from diabetes, dehydration (especially the elderly), oral mycosis, sarcoidosis, avitaminosis, amyloidosis, allergies, psychogenic states.
Glosal – composition
The composition described in the Glossal leaflet is:
- Purified Water,
- curly cartilage extract,
- glycerine,
- potassium chloride,
- sodium chloride,
- sorbitol,
- natural aromas – mint and apple.
Glosal – action
Glosal spray is available in a 25 ml package (250 doses) with a convenient dispenser that sprays the solution in the form of a mist. This one exactly settles on the mucous membranes of the throat and mouth. The extract of chrysalises contained in Glosal is distinguished by a high content of polysaccharides. They create a protective film that reduces the feeling of dryness. In addition, minerals strengthen hydration, protecting the vocal cords and throat. Glosal is a preparation with a mild flavor. It is also characterized by the absence of artificial substances and alcohol.
Glosal – way of taking
The Glosal medical device gives the best results when administered after a meal. Place the applicator as deep as possible into your mouth and then press for 1 or 2 doses. Glosal is not addictive and does not irritate the throat, so you can take it according to your needs, but the manufacturer recommends 3-4 a day. Remember to consult your doctor before use and read the leaflet. Before the first use, it is necessary to press the applicator several times to fill it with liquid. Dirt on the applicator should be cleaned by pouring boiling water over it.
Glosal – contraindications and comments
Glosal spray should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients, and also after the expiry of its use-by date. The preparation can be taken by pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
Keep it at room temperature away from children. Glosal has no side effects when used as indicated.
