Glass collins

Collins is a straight cylindrical glass, which can rightly be called the “brother” of the highball glass. The only difference between the two is that the collins are slightly narrower and taller. Its volume can be from 230 to 340 ml.

First of all, a collins glass is used for longdrink cocktails, but it is also very convenient for serving all kinds of soft drinks. For the first time this glass appeared in Paris at the very beginning of the XNUMXth century, its name was preceded by the famous Tom Collins cocktail. And although the collins glass appeared earlier than the highball, it is less known than its “brother”. Despite the fact that the difference between the glasses is insignificant, like in the old-fashioned rocks, not everyone will be able to distinguish them at first sight.
