To bring the main catwalk trends of the spring-summer 2014 season to life, you can use one and only tool – the new Givenchy Ombre Couture cream eyeshadows. And this is not an exaggeration.
Fashion and makeup have always followed each other, and another proof of this is the novelty developed by the art director of Givenchy makeup, Nicolas Degenne, in the footsteps of the most current fashion shows.
Creamy eyeshadows with a creamy texture, which turns into a velvety powder on the skin, are unique not only for their durability (about 16 hours), but also for their ease of use. They do not roll on the skin, do not collect in the crease of the eyelid. And nine shades from cocoa to Prussian blue with different effects – matte, pearl, satin – allow you to repeat any fashionable eye makeup.

In the new season, the main attention of makeup artists was awarded to smokyeyes, which have not left the “top ten” makeup trends for many seasons.
In addition to the classic anthracite “smoky eyes” at the Versace and Jonathan Sounders shows, smoky eyes were seen, like the grunge diva Courtney Love: black shadows with a deliberately smeared outline on the lower eyelid. To make yourself look the same (suitable for a party or a rock concert), mix the shades of dark and silver gray GrisOrganza. Move the upper eyelid, and apply to the lower eyelid with your fingertips.
Another actual type of smokyeyes is bronze, for makeup with a tan effect (look for samples in the photos from the shows of Gucci, Donna Karan, JasonWu). The Givenchy Ombre Couture shade in Brun Cachemire with a pearl shine is perfect for them. Simply apply them with your fingers to your upper eyelid and blend lightly. No makeup base needed: the eyeshadow contains Brazilian wax for easy application.
At Givenchy’s spring / summer show, the models were given natural nude makeup. You can repeat it yourself using the top coat OmbreCoutureTopCoatBlancSatin, a milky tone that is barely noticeable on the skin, with particles of mother-of-pearl. Apply this product all over your eyelid, or just at the corners of your eyes or under your brow for shine.
There was also a lot of color in the spring / summer shows. There are at least two options for applying multi-colored shadows.
The first option: cover both the upper and lower eyelids with shadows of the same tone, and then blend, blurring the contour (peeped behind the scenes by GiorgioArmani and Prada). A satin plum shade OmbreCouturePruneTaffetas or a pearly herbal KakiBrocart are good for this.
The second option: apply cream shadows in a dense layer only on the upper eyelid, leaving the contour clear (the best examples are from Burberry Prorsum and Marcby Marc Jacobs). Then heighten the saturation of the tone, applying over the powdery eyeshadow of the same shade.
The trend called “graphic arrows” is also under the force of Givenchy Ombre Couture. A beveled eyeliner brush and dark chocolate BrunCachemire satin eyeshadows will help you draw the crisp lines you see on the Erdem and Missoni models.
It remains to print the photos from the shows and start experimenting.
